Evocation - Guitarist And Drummer Leave The Band

The Swedes Evocation are facing changes in the band. Drummer Janne Kenttäkumpu Bodén and guitarist Vesa Kenttäkumpu have left the death metal band. Both members announced to the group that they would no longer be a part of the band after 2013. The reasons are that "they no longer have the energy or motivation to continue and also they have different priorities in their lives nowadays." The Kenttäkumpu brothers have been with the band since the beginning. Evocation has recruited a new guitar player, whose identity is still under wraps, and the search for a new drummer has started.

Glen Drover - Changes Band Name, New Song Online

Canadian guitarist Glen Drover (ex-Megadeth, King Diamond) has changed the name of his band from The Glen Drover Band to Metalusion, the title of the project's debut album. Their new studio album, which will be called Between Sea And Sky, is "more than half way complete," according to Drover, and should be released sometime in 2014. A brand new song from Metalusion entitled "Caracas", which was written by Glen and keyboardist Jim Gilmour, can be streamed in the YouTube clip below.

Timo Tolkki's Avalon - New Album In May, Floor Jansen As Vocalist

Time for another bunch of news from the Timo Tolkki's Avalon camp. The new album will be released around May 2014, and in that month an European tour will also start, while recordings are currently taking place in East Sound Studios in Helsinki, Finland. In March, a single and a promotional video for it will be released: and they will feature no less than Nightwish and ReVamp vocalist Floor Jansen, who will play the leading role in the successor of The Land Of New Hope. Floor adds to the guest artists already announced, as Epica singer Simone Simons and ex-Stratovarius drummer and keyboardist Tuomo Lassila and Antti Ikonen.

American metallers Catalepsy have released an official announcement explaining that the band has come to an end. Abomination Of Desolation, the band's third album, will then be their last. The band was uncertain about the future but the members are focusing solely on other projects, and so Catalepsy is no more.

French avantgarde black metallers Way To End have recently revealed a couple of changes within their line-up. The band parted ways with guitarist Rust and drummer Decay. Both have been part of the band from the very beginning (2006).
