Year Of No Light have started their Monday with a bang. Not only did they reveal the cover artwork and tracklist of their new and third opus Tocsin, but they also released the first song off the album, the title track. Iron Savior - New Album Release Date Unveiled

German power metallers Iron Savior released their last album The Landing in 2011. Despite being quiet for a while, the band finally has some news about their next album. The songwriting process of the new material is almost over and the band starts recording in October. Iron Savior has also already set a release date for February 28th next year.

Taake - To Take Part In Montreal Black Metal Festival

For the third year in a row, Sepulchral Productions is organizing a 3-day black metal festival in Montreal, Canada. This year's lineup will include Norwegian black metallers Taake who will play their first ever show in North America on the 29th of November at the Messe des Morts Festival.

Necrophobic - Frontman Gets Six-Month Prison Sentence

The focus should be on the band's new album, but lately that has been overshadowed by Necrophobic's frontman Tobias Sidegård who was arrested on charges that he'd abused his wife and children. The sentence was handed down by the Svea appeals court and Sidegård will only be doing six months for assault, a less serious offense, as opposed to the 18 that he'd been originally sentenced to. The musician was also ordered to pay his wife 16,000 Swedish kronor (approximately $2,500) in damages plus interest.

Megadeth - Release 'Countdown To Extinction: Live' DVD Trailer

Megadeth have unveiled the trailer of their new DVD Countdown To Extinction: Live to be released worldwide on September 24th (September 23rd outside of North America) via Tradecraft/UMe. It will be available in several video and audio configurations, including deluxe Blu-ray/CD, DVD, CD, digital album, and more. The band performed their fifth studio album Countdown To Extinction in its entirety. The album was recorded in Los Angeles in 1992 and released that same year. It became a classic album.

Inside L.A. Metal Movie Documentary - First Trailer Online

This could be interesting. Inside Metal: The Pioneers Of Los Angeles Rock And Metal (1975-1981) will be the first one of a 3-part series devoted to the early years of the hard rock and metal scene in the Los Angeles area. Directed by Bob Nalbandian (The Headbanger fanzine), the first movie trailer has been released and you can take a look at it below. The first title of the series DVD is tentatively set for a February 2014 release date, the early years (1975 - 1981). As for the second and third titles, no release dates are set just yet, but it will probably be in 2014 as well.
