Necrophobic - Frontman Arrested, Responds To Allegations (Update)

UPDATE on 07.09.2013 [Thanks to Bad English]: Swedish death metallers Necrophobic find themselves in a difficult situation and have finally released an official statement regarding the abuse allegations concerning their vocalist Tobias Sidegård. Their comment was basically "no comment". As for the label Season Of Mist, they will adopt the same policy and will not comment any further.

Crystal Eyes - Updates On New Album

Swedish power metallers Crystal Eyes have completed work on their new album to be titled Killer. The recordings are done and the mixing will be handled by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman beginning in the first week of November. This is the first album with Niclas Karlsson on guitar and the first in many years with Mikael Dahl on lead vocals on all tracks. It will follow 2008's Chained. According to the band, "you can except 100% pure heavy metal in the vein of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept, Dio, Manowar."

Nomad Son - Three New Songs Streaming Online

Mayan - New Album Next Year, Floor Jansen As Guest

Dutch band MaYaN has recently entered the studio to record the successor to their debut Quarterpast (2011), which is yet untitled, along with producer Joost van der Broek ( ReVamp, Stream Of Passion). The concept for the record concerns the current state of the world which is going totally insane. Is it now? For example, "the explosive situation in Syria, governments who constantly accuse each other of lying, spying and using tricks to revoke their own population". The album will feature 10 or 11 tracks and is set for release in January 2014 via Nuclear Blast. As a special guest, Floor Jansen, vocalist of both ReVamp and Nightwish, will contribute with her voice.

Alice In Chains - Premiere Two New Videos

Alice In Chains have premiered not one but two new videos simultaneously from their new album The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here. Go big or go home, they say. The first video, for the song "Voices", shows a series of neon signs lighting up various locations around their home-town of Seattle while the second video for the title track "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" shows what happens when a lesson about the devil and dinosaurs goes horribly wrong on the classic TV show, Uncle Sal and Pals. Keep It True Festival - Cancels Dark Angel Appearance

There has been a lot of turmoil regarding Dark Angel's possible reunion and statements thrown around. The thrash metal veterans were announced as part of the Keep It True XVII fest set to take place next year. But that will not happen after all since the festival decided to pull the plug on the band's performance and thus preserve the fest credibility. In other news, Eric Meyer has also been confirmed for the 2014 Dark Angel lineup.
