Machine Head - New Label, New Album In 2014

The mighty Machine Head have found a new label home: the newly launched arm of Nuclear Blast Records, Nuclear Blast Entertainment, headed by the band's longtime friend and former Roadrunner A&R guru Monte Conner. The band had been in talks with various labels and has now announced the decision. What is more interesting to the fans is that the Americans, now with new bassist Jared MacEachern, will enter the studio in late October to begin recording their eighth studio album for an early 2014 release, followed by a massive worldwide tour cycle.

Intronaut - Announce Headlining European Tour

Fresh off the North American road with Katatonia, Cult Of Luna, TesseracT and Vattnet Viskar, post-metal/sludge creators Intronaut are pleased to announce that they will head out on a European headlining tour this November/December in support of their latest album Habitual Levitations. Protest The Hero - Unveil Full Artwork, Stream Another Song

Canadian progressive metalcore outfit Protest The Hero have unveiled the complete artwork that will grace their upcoming album Volition, found underneath the O-card cover on the digipak CD version, and the vinyl cover. The band had invited fans to join an interactive website where they could uncover the artwork and later posted the complete NSFW artwork online. Take a look at it below. Moreover, the group is also streaming online another new track, "Drumhead Trial", and you can listen to it now. It features Kayla Howran on vocals and a guitar solo by Ron Jarzombek as well.

Eternal Oath - New Video Online

"Fields Of Dreams", the new video from Swedish melodic death metallers Eternal Oath, can now be seen below. The song comes off the band's comeback album, Ghostlands, which was released in June. The Swedes hadn't released new material since 2005's Wither. "Fields Of Dreams" is also the second single from the new album.

Crowbar - Announce New Bassist, Kirk Windstein Leaves Down

This one is a two-in-one. A lot has been happening on the New Orleans sludge metal veterans Crowbar camp lately. The band has announced the addition of bassist Jeff Golden to the group's ranks. Jeff is from Bolton, Connecticut, but currently resides in Estero, Florida. Bassist Patrick Bruders quit the band two months ago. Furthermore, Crowbar's mastermind Kirk Windstein, who was also in Down, is focusing solely on Crowbar now and will be replaced by stage manager/Honky guitarist Bobby Landgraf in the band.

Avatarium - Leif Edling's New Band Streams Song

After revealing the details about their debut album, Avatarium, the new project of Candlemass bassist Leif Edling, has finally released music for us to hear. Apart from Leif, the band features Marcus Jidell (Evergrey) on guitar, Lars Sköld (Tiamat) on drums, keyboardist Carl Westholm and singer Jennie-Ann Smith. The doom metal band released a lyric video for their debut single "Moonhorse". Prepare yourself, it's a nine-minute song.
