In Flames - Guitarist To Sit Out Shows

Guitarist Niclas Engelin of Swedish metallers In Flames will sit out a few of the band's shows this summer. His temporary replacement for those gigs will be Patrik Jensen from The Haunted. The band will play a series of festivals this summer.

Swallow The Sun - 'The Morning Never Came' Anniversary Tour

The Finns Swallow The Sun unleashed their first melancholic death doom metal album The Morning Never Came in 2003. This debut opus is an absolute fan favorite and the band will be doing an anniversary tour exactly ten years after its release. Swallow The Sun will play The Morning Never Came entirely on all dates plus a whole bunch of other classic tracks. Supporting Swallow The Sun on this tour will be British group Antimatter and Italian goth doomers The Foreshadowing. Steel Panther - Finishing New Album Recordings

Los Angeles glam metal outfit Steel Panther is putting the finishing touches on their next full-length album at a studio in Sherman Oaks, California with producer Jay Ruston ( Anthrax, Stone Sour, Meat Loaf) for a fall release. A new 12-minute video clip featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the studio can be seen below while you wait for the release to drop. Balls Out, released in 2011, was their latest studio album.

Obsidian Tongue - Sign To Hypnotic Dirge, New Song Online

The atmospheric black metal duo Obsidian Tongue has signed with Hypnotic Dirge Records and their new label will be releasing their upcoming second full-length album A Nest Of Ravens In The Throat Of Time in late July. John Haughm of Agalloch fame has taken lead vocal duties on the album's title track. Kataklysm - Complete New Album Recordings, Touring Australia

Death metallers Kataklysm have completed the recordings for their new album Waiting For The End To Come and now the album will be mixed in July by producer Zeuss. The band has been hard at work on the follow-to to Heaven's Venom which is tentatively scheduled for a late 2013 / early 2014 release.

Wacken Open Air 2013 - 3D Movie Planned

The people who visit the already sold out Wacken Open Air 2013 this August are in for a treat because the organization is in preparations for a 3D movie about the festival, the music, the bands, and its fans. Wacken 3D - Louder Than Hell will be an exploration of the legendary Wacken Open Air, the biggest heavy metal festival of the world, and will shoot in July and August this year. Director Nobert Heitker's feature documentary, shot by producer and director of photography Tomas Erhart in stereoscopic 3D will give audiences a chance to experience Wacken in the most intimate way.

Nine Inch Nails - Release New Video

Iron Maiden - London Show Sells Out In 12 Minutes, Add Second Show

Iron Maiden have announced a second show at London's O2 Arena for August 4th after the first of their scheduled shows sold out in just 12 minutes. The band have stated it will definitely be the band's last UK show this year as soon after they head off for a few selected US shows before a trip around Latin America including headlining Rock In Rio and National Stadiums in Mexico, Chile and Argentina. The British heavy metallers also recently played at Download Festival 2013 at Donington Park.
