Bal-Sagoth - Band Update

UK symphonic black metal band Bal-Sagoth has released a new update stating there are no concrete plans for a new album anytime soon. This information was offered up by the band's vocalist Byron "Lord" Roberts on the band's MySpace page: "Hail to all Bal-Sagoth fans! It's a question we get asked fairly frequently, so just to clarify the situation and eliminate any rumours before they spiral out of control, here is the current state of play regarding possible future Bal-Sagoth albums. Alas, contrary to what you might have heard, there are still currently no definite plans for a new Bal-Sagoth album."

Whitechapel - Reveal New Self-Titled Album Details, New Song Online

US deathcore outfit Whitechapel has revealed that the band's self-titled fourth album is slated for a June 19th release via Metal Blade Records. The band also unveiled the album artwork, tracklist and released the first single from the album, "Hate Creation", which can be streamed below.

Mortal Sin - Disbanding

Australian thrash metal veterans Mortal Sin have announced that they will be breaking up for the fourth time in their history, following their most recent reformation in 2004. A statement from guitarist Ryan Huthnance reads as follows: "It's time the rumours were laid to rest. Yes, Mortal Sin is finished. Due to changing personal circumstances, as well as priorities, Luke and Nathan have both decided that their time with the band is at an end. This decision was not made lightly, and was not a result of the actions and words made by other parties who would lead you to believe it was."

Bilocate - Unveil New Album Artwork And Release Date

Jordanian dark oriental metallers Bilocate have revealed the cover artwork for Summoning The Bygones, their forthcoming album. The artwork was designed by Matthew Vickerstaff of Darkwave Art in the United Kingdom, who is working with Listenable Records and Peaceville Records and worked with bands such as My Dying Bride, Deicide, Morbid Angel, Cradle Of Filth, Decapitated, Hate Eternal and many more. Roadrunner Records - Founder Steps Down, European Offices To Close

According to Billboard.biz, Roadrunner Records founder/CEO Cees Wessels is leaving the label 17 months after the completion of its sale to the Warner Music Group. Furthermore, approximately 36 staffers worldwide were let go.

Sarah Jezebel Deva, ex-Cradle Of Filth backing vocalist, has revealed the cover art for her upcoming three track digital EP entitled Malediction, to be released on May 28th via Listenable Records. Soilwork's frontaman Björn "Speed" Strid will guest on Malediction's song "Lies Define Us" and Cradle Of Filth's vocalist Dani Filth will lend his voice to the song "This Is My Curse". Netherbird - Part Ways With Bassist And Drummer

Swedish metallers Netherbird have issued the following statement about splitting with the band's drummer and bassist and working on a new EP: "Rumours about a line-up change has reached us through various sources so we thought it might be good to deliver the news ourselves rather than through the haze of whispers. On the official website we stated back in the day when Netherbird was still a studio project that 'The cast will change but the theatre of Netherbird will remain'. Those words were true when written, and they still are relevant today."

Mezarkabul - New Album Teaser Released

Turkish heavy metallers Mezarkabul have recently released a trailer for their new album titled MMXII, which is available for viewing below. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at Babajim Studios in Istanbul, Turkey. This is the band's first full length album with Gökalp Ergen as vocalist, who joined the band after Murat Ilkan's departure in 2010. MMXII was released on April 26th through Sony Music Turkey.
