Earlier this year, there was a split in the Eluveitie camp which meant that drummer Merlin Sutter, vocalist and hurdy gurdy player Anna Murphy and guitarist Ivo Henzi departed the band. They did say, however, that they would have a new project. And here it is! Cellar Darling is born and today you can hear the first fruits of their labour, the music. The band has now released two songs, "Challenge" and "Fire, Wind & Earth". Don't miss it!
The first Leprous live DVD is coming! Live At Rockfeller Music Hall marks the Norwegian progressive metal band's first live release. This DVD/CD/LP package will come out worldwide on November 25th, 2016 on InsideOut Music and Ihsahn also made a special appearance. Recorded live at a hometown show in Oslo on June 4th of this year, Live At Rockfeller Music Hall will arrive on various formats, including a limited DVD+2CD digipak, standalone DVD, 2CD jewelcase, gatefold 3LP + 2CD and as digital download audio. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, thirty people were arrested during the first day of Ozzfest Meets Knotfest at San Manuel Amphitheater in Devore, California. Ten other attendees were transported to the hospital for various medical reasons. Most of the arrests on Saturday, September 24th, were alcohol-related.

Moreover, the band is currently writing their next album and will record it in the next few months.

The Americans Death Fetishist have unveiled the cover art that will grace their forthcoming full-length Clandestine Sacrament, which was crafted by Polish artist Andrzej Masianis. Check it out below. You can expect the album to hit stores on October 28th via Debemur Morti Productions. Clandestine Sacrament will also include guest appearances by D.G. Following the departure of guitarist Troy Seele, metallers Iced Earth have just revealed his replacement. Jake Dreyer of White Wizzard and Kobra And The Lotus fame is stepping up to the plate after an audition process. He will also record material for the band's forthcoming new record, which is progressing at a good rate.
The Spanish festival Be Prog! My Friend is one of prog metal's meccas in Europe. And next year's lineup is already shaping up nicely. So far, the organizers have announced the Norwegian visionaries Ulver and prog legends Jethro Tull. This fourth edition of the fest will take place in Barcelona, Spain, between June 30th and July 1st next year.

Eyehategod will have a familiar face filling in for vocalist Mike IX Williams on their upcoming North American tour. None other than Randy Blythe of Lamb Of God fame. The sludge metal band cancelled tour dates last year and also a European tour in July/August this year. However, it looks like their upcoming tour with Discharge and Toxic Holocaust is a go.
