Black/death metal blasphemers Belphegor have been forced to cancel their Russian tour, after frontman Helmuth "Hel" Lehner was attacked at the St. Petersburg airport. Now, for the first time after the incident, the band has released a statement regarding what happened. Three of their shows were cancelled and in Moscow, the sound engineer was forced to mute the vocals because of their lyrical content. Basically, it was a disaster.

Recently, Wolverine announced their comeback. They will release their first new album since 2011's brilliant Communication Lost this summer. Winds Of Plague have shared a couple of important news recently. First of all, the Southern California metallers have signed a record deal with Entertainment One Music (eOne) / Good Fight Music. The band is also announcing their first headlining tour in two and a half years, with Rings Of Saturn as direct support. But there is more. A new album is in the works to follow 2013's Resistance.
After a successful debut album, called Children Of The Iron Age, U.S. atmospheric black metallers Wayfarer have new music to share with the world. They will release their second album, Old Souls, on June 17th through Prosthetic Records. Recorded at Flatline Audio with Shane Howard (Martriden, Khemmis) while being mixed and mastered by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Cobalt), the album features seven tracks clocking in at almost 50 minutes long. The album's cover artwork, which can be seen below, was created by Colorado artist and knifesmith Adam Gersh.
Blues Pills are releasing a new album! The psychedelic blues rockers recently announced the title of their eagerly awaited second album. Lady In Gold is expected to be released during the summer of 2016 and will contain 10 brand new tracks. Just as its highly successful predecessor, Blues Pills, the new album was once again produced by Don Alsterberg (Graveyard, José González, Jerry Williams). More info will be revealed soon.
After announcing their upcoming The Theater Equation DVD, Ayreon have now signed with Mascot Label Group. For now, seven Ayreon studio albums are digitally available again at this location. According to mastermind Arjen Anthony Lucassen, this is just the beginning and you can expect more good news soon. Maybe a new Ayreon record is in the works?

The partnership is due to come into effect with the June 10th arrival of Rival Sons' new album Hollow Bones to officially herald the new deal.
