After having played already highly successful tours in Japan and their home country Finland to promote their critically acclaimed new album Beyond, Omnium Gatherum are now ready to hit the European roads again this coming August/September along with fellow Danish metal masters Mercenary. Recently, Týr revealed that they had parted ways with former drummer Kári Streymoy and promised a surprise studio fill in drummer. They have kept their promise and while they are recording their new album with producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Aborted, Mercenary) at his studios in Denmark, the folk metallers have enlisted the services of George Kollias to track the drum parts, primarily known for his work in Nile, as well as Nightfall. A video featuring drum tracking highlights, as well as a short message from Kollias can be seen below.

Finnish cello act Apocalyptica have recently decided to officially release "Psalm", a new song which Perttu Kivilaakso played during the band's most recent tour. In addition to that, Apocalyptica's Paavo Lötjönen has produced the accompanying music video, which was filmed at the Sibelius Academy, where the band recorded its first album. Paavo took care of everything from direction to post-production during the making of the clip, which can be seen below.
