Blackened hardcore metallers Hexis and friends This Gift Is A Curse are releasing a new split on six record labels, namely: Protagonist Music (USA), King Of The Monsters (USA), Monotonstudio Records (Germany), Farsot (Sweden), Grains Of Sand (Russia) and Shove Records (Italy). The release date for the physical copies hasn't been unveiled yet, but the record is available for pre-order, at this location. Now that they have announced all about their new album, Negură Bunget prepare to embark on an extensive European tour starting in March, their lengthiest tour up to date. It seems like Transylvania will be the place to be this summer as Agalloch and Shape Of Despair will also perform at the festival in August 2015 in Alba Iulia, Romania.

Early last year, doom gothic metallers The Foreshadowing announced that they were in songwriting mode for their next album. Well, now the Italians have started the recordings for the successor to Second World (2012). The band has checking in now with an update. They are working at the Outer Sound Studios. Drummer Giuseppe Orlando has started recording his parts, the bass tracking is done and the guitars are next!

Original Trouble drummer Jeff "Oly" Olson has decided to leave The Skull. The doom metallers just released their debut record For Those Which Are Asleep last year. The band has also released a statement and apparently there is no bad blood between them. As for The Skull, the band promises to announce soon March and April U.S. and Europe tour dates.
UK's Subversion are streaming a new song from their second record. A South African metal festival, Witchfest Festival Open Air 2015, has been forced to switch venues reportedly after complaints from a local Christian group. The festival is set to feature big names such as Epica, Cannibal Corpse, Septicflesh, Decapitated, Alestorm, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Kataklysm, Belphegor, Aborted, Hatebreed and more in April. It's self-proclaimed as the biggest metal festival ever to take place on African soil. Witchfest was due to take place on farmland in the North West Province town of Hartbeespoort from April 2nd-6th. But it's been moved to Lanseria, midway between Pretoria and Johannesburg. The organizers promise they will not give in to the protests.
Thrashers Testament are back in the studio! The follow-up to Dark Roots Of Earth released back in 2012 is finally shaping up. Vocalist Chuck Billy and guitarist Eric Peterson are demoing new material and have shared the first photos from the process. The new album will feature bassist Steve DiGiorgio, who returned to the band after the departure of Greg Christian. Their next record is expected to be released this year.
Back in March 2014, Soilwork performed a special show at Circus Club in Helsinki, Finland. Now they have announced the release of their anticipated first ever live DVD/Blu-ray, Live In The Heart Of Helsinki on March 13th, 2015 through Nuclear Blast Records.
