Earlier this month, Slipknot's guitarist Mick Thomson made the news for the worst reasons. He was involved in a knife fight with his brother, which hospitalized both of them. While it could have been much worse, Thomson received a stab wound to the back of the head. According to The Des Moines Register, the consequences of those actions are that both have been charged with disorderly conduct by fighting. The brothers were booked and released on a promise they will appear in court March 30th. Both parties declined to seek charges against each other.
After eight years, Persefone will re-release their first album Truth Inside The Shades in early April. As an addition, they have included "The Haunting Of Human's Denial" bonus track added on the Japanese edition released back in 2004, and also the first song that the singer Marc Martins sang with Persefone. The artwork has been revisited by Alberto Sánchez Ballesteros.
TesseracT are busy working on a new album, but before that the progressive metallers are set to release in May their first live audio/video concert. Titled Odyssey/Scala, the CD/DVD and 2LP/DVD package welcomes back One vocalist, Daniel Tompkins. Odyssey, the audio portion, was recorded live during various stops in the autumn of 2014 throughout Europe and Russia on the Altered State World Tour. DevilDriver endured a couple of departures over the past year. Original members, drummer John Boecklin and guitarist Jeff Kendrick, decided to leave but now the American metallers have announced that Neal Tiemann is their new guitarist. Frontman Dez Fafara, now busy with Coal Chamber, revealed via Instagram that the band is also writing new music.

Paradise Lost have revealed the cover artwork that will grace their opus number fourteen The Plague Within, which comes out on June 1st in Europe and June 2nd in North America via Century Media. The cover artwork was created by the Polish artist, illustrator and architect Zbigniew M. Bielak, best known in the musical realm for his record cover illustrations, which among others include meticulously handcrafted artworks of Watain, Ghost or Entombed A.D. albums. Long-time drummer Anthony Jude "A.J." Pero, of legendary heavy metal band Twisted Sister, passed away at the age of 55. Pero was a member of Twisted Sister from 1982 to 1986, from 1997 to 1998, and again from 2003 until his death. Pero performed on Adrenaline Mob's last two albums and recently joined Four By Fate, also featuring former Frehley's Comet members Tod Howarth and John Regan.

Power metal giants Helloween are preparing the release of a new album, called My God-Given Right and today they reveal a little bit more about it. You can see below My God-Given Right's tracklist. If you are eager to hear new material, on April 17th, Helloween will release the first single, the hymn "Battle's Won". Besides the digital download, there will be a limited edition 2-track vinyl single, also featuring the album track "Lost In America".
At the end of last year, Opeth announced a special 25th anniversary show at the London Palladium on the 18th of October 2015 where they will be playing two sets, including Ghost Reveries in its entirety (which in turn is celebrating its 10th anniversary), plus a second set of classics from their 25-year career. Barbaranne Wylde, the wife of Black Label Society leader and former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde, who also helps run Zakk's career as his as his co-manager, has revealed to Examiner.com that the guitarist/vocalist will enter the studio after his Unblackened spring 2015 tour to record "Book Of Shadows Volume II" for an early 2016 release. The output, which will be made available on the 20th anniversary of the original solo album Book Of Shadows will be followed by a world tour to support it.
Lineup changes are nothing new for Texas thrashers Warbeast. The Housecore Records band has once again added some new weaponry to their arsenal. This time they chose to bring in some young bloods to re-animate some fresh new life into their classic old-school style. Drew Shoup (20-years-old) is now the band's second guitarist while Lyric Ferchaud (17-years-old) will take over bass duties.
