AC/DC - Drummer Chris Slade Confirms Return To The Band

After much speculation, drummer Chris Slade has confirmed his return to hard rockers AC/DC. He will perform with the band at the Grammy Awards today at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and on the upcoming Rock Or Bust tour. The former drummer of the band fills the vacancy created by Phil Rudd's ongoing legal battles.

AC/DC - Bon Scott Documentary And Biopic In The Works

According to Billboard.com, late AC/DC singer Bon Scott will be the subject of a new documentary due sometime in 2015, titled Looking For Bon, which will explore Scott's life from 1970 to 1974. Narrated by David O'Hara ("The Tudors", "The Departed"), the film will be followed by a Bon Scott biopic, based on a script written by late Australian music pioneer Vince Lovegrove (who shared vocals with Scott in The Valentines in the '60s) and Angela Anagnostopoulos, focusing on Bon's years in AC/DC.

AC/DC - Drummer Back In Court For Breaching Bail

Here we go again. AC/DC's drummer Phil Rudd has appeared in court for breaching his bail conditions, following an incident in Tauranga, according to Stuff.co.nz and many other sources. He was arrested less than a month ago. His bail conditions have now been tightened to include not taking illegal drugs to limit any "erratic behaviour". Crown prosecutor Greg Hollister-Jones said it was a serious breach because it involved interfering with a witness.

Today is the world premiere of the new music video for AC/DC's new song "Play Ball". The video was directed by long time AC/DC collaborator David Mallet in London. The song is taken from the new album Rock Or Bust, which will be released on December 2nd, 2014 worldwide. AC/DC - Drummer Procuring Murder Charge Dropped, Band Releases Statement

While yesterday it was announced that AC/DC's drummer Phil Rudd had been charged with attempting to procure murder of two men in New Zealand as well as with threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis, the charge of attempting to procure murder has been withdrawn. Meanwhile, the Aussie rockers have also released a brief statement addressing this situation. It is not clear where the drummer stands within the band right now.

AC/DC - Drummer Charged With Attempting To Procure Murder

Things aren't going well for AC/DC lately. Recently, their founding guitarist Malcolm Young left the band after his family announced he was suffering from dementia. Now drummer Phil Rudd has been charged with attempting to procure murder of two men in New Zealand. He has appeared in New Zealand's Tauranga District Court where he was charged with the attempted murder as well as drug charges and was subsequently released on bail. The identities of the intended victims and potential hitman have been suppressed by the judge.

AC/DC will continue to rock out with a new album to be released this December. That's right, the veterans will release a new album 6 years after the last one, Black Ice. Rock Or Bust, as the new album is called, will be released on December 2nd, 2014 on Columbia Records and feature 11 new tracks recorded in Spring 2014 at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, Canada. Stevie Young, nephew of founding members Angus and Malcolm Young, played guitar on the new album and will tour with the band in 2015.

AC/DC fans worldwide seem to be moving one step closer to a film paying hommage to the late singer Bon Scott. Key production team members from High Voltage Productions Pty., the current controlling production company overseeing Bon Scott - The Legend of AC/DC, begun talks this week with one of the world's leading production and entertainment companies. The film project is a docudrama chronicling the career of frontman Bon Scott of AC/DC, who died tragically at age 33 in 1980 after only six years with the band.

AC/DC - Former Bassist Neil Smith Passes

Former AC/DC and Rose Tattoo bassist Neil Smith has died after a battle with cancer. Smith was in AC/DC briefly in 1974, prior to the release of their 1975 debut album High Voltage and in Rose Tattoo in 1978.
