Amon Amarth have posted the following on their official website regarding work on a new video clip:
"We recently returned from Poland after shooting the first video for the upcoming album "Twilight of the Thunder God". The video will be for the title track.
We joined efforts with the Polish team, Group 13 and director Dariusz Szermanowicz for "Twilight of the Thunder God" and filmed it on the old Viking site, Jomsborg, home of the Jomsvikings in Wolin, Poland.
Our brothers from Jomsvikings traveled from far and wide, places like Poland, Germany, Belgium, England, Australia and USA to be part of this great video.
It seemed that the Thunder God was on our side when shooting the video because a hurricane/storm passed through the area during the day, creating the chaotic and violent atmosphere we were hoping for. It was the toughest conditions we ever recorded a video in, blood and sweat, quite literally both, were part of the making. But we don't mind getting our hands dirty and metal was never supposed to be "nice". In fact we couldn't have wished for a more fitting video shoot for this song, being the Ragnarök and all!
Swedish metallers Amon Amarth have posted new track entitled "Twilight Of The Thunder God" for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The song is the title cut of the band's new album and it features a guest appearance by Children Of Bodom guitarist Roope Latvala.
"Twilight Of The Thunder God", will be released on September 19 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy; September 22 in the rest of Europe; and September 30 in North America. The album was recorded at Fascination Street Studio in Örebro, Sweden.

We are excited to perform in front of our North American fans and cannot wait until then. We're expecting a good proper horde, so hope to see as many of you out there as possible!"
Release dates for Amon Amarth's new album "Twilight Of The Thunder God" have been posted. The album will be released the 17th of September in Sweden, 19th of September in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy and the 22nd of September in the rest of Europe. Amon Amarth will be part of the European run of "The Unholy Alliance, Chapter III" along side with Trivium, Mastodon and Slayer.
Johan Hegg: "All of us have been huge fans of Slayer since the mid 80's, and to be able to tour with this legendary thrash band is a dream come true. We are very proud and honored to be a part of this year's Unholy Alliance together with Trivium and Mastodon. Slayer fans are die-hard and tough as true Vikings - we know as we are part of the same crowd - and it will be a great experience to be able to play in front of them."
This tour will kick off in Manchester, England on October 27th and will continue it's journey for 4 weeks throughout other parts of Europe. For selected shows, Amon Amarth will be performing after Mastodon.
''We have had plans of doing a smaller club show tour for quite some time now where we would mainly play older songs, but that has been very hard to pull off. So when this idea was brought to us of re-visiting the 4 first full lenght albums at Bochum in Germany we were all up for it. This will be a once in a life time chance for us to play and our fans to experience all the old songs that we don't have room for in the setlist anymore, but are still too good to not play! Of course we'll also play songs from the new upcoming album, as well as "With Oden On Our Side" and "Fate Of Norns".
Since these shows will be unique we thought we could might as well record the shows too!
