22:22 - ScreamingSteelUS I guess I'm sympathetic towards her because she did have an uncomfortable experience for perfectly understandable reasons, but she loses me by making it everybody else's problem and blaming everyone else for humoring Kvarforth.
22:19 - ScreamingSteelUS I'm genuinely torn between "she's overreacting hilariously" and "actually, that seems pretty fair." Either way, I was so ready for her to punch Kvarforth.
22:14 - Apothecary Real shit, upon first reading this article I thought it was satirization of overly sensitive PC types. Maybe it actually is
22:13 - Maco The fact that she didn't leave makes me think deep inside she was having a great time. Lol
22:10 - Apothecary I mean I can kinda relate, I think really over the top theatrics black metal is quite a joke, and when I saw Watain live last year it was just one eyeroll moment after another. But I wasn't "offended" by it lol
22:08 - Maco Sounds like Shining live is an experience. Lol.
22:02 - Apothecary Wow, this was really quite painful to read. These are the types of people I try to avoid going to metal shows with at all costs [link]

"As announced earlier, Amorphis will embark on a North American tour in September. Esa Holopainen elaborates: "This is our first tour in this region with our latest album, "Silent Waters". Tickets are selling well so you can only be happy. We picked Samael, Leaves' Eyes and Virgin Black as support acts because we know the guys and this kind of musical combination offers something for everyone." The tour kicks off on ProgPower USA IX in Atlanta on September 26. All tour dates can be found here.
In November Amorphis will enter Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki to record a follow-up to their highly acclaimed "Eclipse" and "Silent Waters" albums. The band has received gold records for both albums in their native Finland. Esa reveals: "We have been working really hard on new material and the new record should be out sometime next spring. The new material will again be very epic."
Finnish metallers Amorphis have been confirmed as the second headliner of ProgPower USA IX. America's premiere metal festival returns to Center Stage in Atlanta on Sept 26 & 27.
"Amorphis may not fit the stereotypical profile, but they truly are a progressive giant in this scene. From their death metal roots to the current moody atmosphere, they have done it all. Any band that can survive for sixteen years by doing it their own way deserves to be a headliner" said promoter Glenn Harveston.
Amorphis's last performance in the U.S. was in 2003.
