Arch Enemy have now launched a live video for "War Eternal", filmed at Wacken 2016 and taken from their upcoming live DVD/Blu-ray, As The Stages Burn! which will be released on March 31st, 2017. This is the first clip the band unveils from the release. The full Wacken 2016 show was recorded with 13 cameras, produced and directed by Patric Ullaeus. The audio was mixed by Andy Sneap. Earlier this year, Arch Enemy revealed that they filmed a new live DVD. Now, the melodic death metal band has announced As The Stages Burn!, which features one of their largest stage production to date from their performance last summer at the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany. The DVD highlights an impressive live production! As The Stages Burn! is scheduled for a worldwide release through Century Media Records on March 31st, 2017. More details will be revealed soon. Recently, Arch Enemy announced their plans for the next few releases they have in store. The melodic death metallers performed in Germany at Wacken Open Air 2016 on August 6th and that performance was filmed for an upcoming DVD/Blu-ray/live audio release. This is the band's second live DVD with new vocalist Alissa White-Gluz after War Eternal Tour: Tokyo Sacrifice, released this year. But there is more coming from Arch Enemy. The band is already writing new songs for their next record, the first with guitarist Jeff Loomis on board.

This could be interesting for Arch Enemy fans. The original line-up of the band will reunite and perform Arch Enemy's first three albums material live on stage as Black Earth. An extensive tour of Japan in May was announced today! Last year, Arch Enemy performed at Loudpark in Japan and during that show the group was joined on stage by the rest of the original founding members, singer Johan Liiva and guitarist Christopher Amott. The original lineup made the band's classic first three albums: Black Earth, Stigmata and Burning Bridges; the exception being bassist Sharlee D'Angelo who only joined in 1999 but has been in the band ever since.

Arch Enemy have always had a soft spot for Japan. And on their next appearance at the 10th anniversary of Loud Park festival, the band will bring in some special guests, two original members. None other than former singer Johan Liiva, who was the vocalist of the band on their first three albums up until Burning Bridges. Founding member and guitarist Christopher "Chris" Amott, who has left the band twice, will also join the group on stage in Japan. So, chances are that the melodic death metallers will play some oldies, songs from the Liiva era.
