Dark Tranquillity have some more new music coming for you today. One of the guardians of the Gothenburg sound, Dark Tranquillity, released their first album 20 years ago and are still going strong. The fans will be happy to hear that they are ready to release their 10th album. Today the band has revealed the tracklist and cover artwork for the new album that, according to them, perfectly catches the spirit of the new masterpiece. It has now been revealed that shortly before beginning the studio sessions for the upcoming 10th studio album Construct, Dark Tranquillity has amicably parted ways with bassist Daniel Antonsson and the main reason is that Daniel wanted to focus on his own musical projects as well as working more in his recording studio. Being first and foremost a guitarist, he felt that the playing bass in a full-time band didn't allow him much time for his main instrument and true passion.

In what will probably be disappointing to many fans, Dark Tranquillity has just confirmed the cancellation of their upcoming European tour dubbed Metal Attack Over Europe that was scheduled to start next week.
Swedish gothenburg legends Dark Tranquillity will digitally release their Zero Distance EP on October 22nd in North America via Century Media. The songs come from the European tour edition of We Are The Void (2010). Dark Tranquillity is currently working on their 10th studio album, tentatively set for a summer 2013 release via Century Media Records.
Swedish gothenburg kings Dark Tranquillity will return to Europe at the end of the year for the last leg of the We Are The Void tour on their Metal Attack Over Europe tour with the company on stage of Keep Of Kalessin, Warbringer, Dawn Heist and Reign Of The Architect. This tour will also allow the band to take a break from the pre-production work of the upcoming new album expected to be released next year.
Century Media Records have renewed their deal for the 3rd time with Swedish melodic death metal legends, Dark Tranquillity. The influential band from Gothenburg released their first album on Century Media Records in 1999 and since then have released 6 albums plus 2 DVDs and a handful of special releases.

The clip was filmed by the bandmembers themselves on the road, with guitarist Niklas Sundin taking care of the editing/post-production duties. "In My Absence" comes off the band's latest album, We Are The Void, which was released on February 2010 via Century Media Records.
Dark Tranquillity will perform in India for the first time on February 12, 2011. The band commented as follows:
"We're very proud and excited to announce that we'll play in India for the first time. On February 12, 2011, we'll perform at the BITS Pilani in Hyderabad, India. Support will come from local metallers Kryptos."
The show will be part of the national annual music festival Pearl, set to take place February 10-13. More info about the festival will be revealed on December 10 at this location.
