Hate Eternal - Entire New Album Streaming Online

Metal Blade Records press release

Hate Eternal's upcoming album Phoenix Amongst The Ashes (out May 10) is currently streaming in its entirety on Metal Sucks here. Be sure to check out the album while you can (comes down Monday May 9) and leave a comment.

Founder, vocalist and guitarist Erik Rutan comments: "Phoenix Amongst The Ashes is an album that we did everything possible to create a death metal classic that would stand out amongst all of our releases as an album that not only carries the traditional Hate Eternal sound, but expands the boundaries of what is possible within the confines of extreme death metal. I feel that this album truly represents a band that overtime has matured into creating our most dynamic and intense album yet. At times fast and extreme, at times, heavy, atmospheric, evil and melodic with the darkest of overtones. I truly feel this is one of my finest moments in my career and a defining moment for Hate Eternal. If you are a death metal fan, you should give it a listen, you won't be disappointed!"

Hate Eternal recorded their fifth studio album, Phoenix Amongst The Ashes, at frontman Erik Rutan's own Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, FL with mastering handled by Alan Douches of West West Side. J.J. Hrubovcak has been added as the band's bassist, alongside the devastating combo of Erik Rutan on guitar and Jade Simonetto on drums.

Hate Eternal - Begin Recording New Album

Official press release

Hate Eternal is working on their fifth studio album (second for Metal Blade Records) and follow up to Fury And Flames once again at Erik Rutan's own Mana Recording Studios. JJ Hrubovcak has been added as the band's bassist and the devastating combo of Erik Rutan on guitar and Jade Simonetto on drums is at work once again. The album promises to be one of the most intense death metal albums of 2011.

Frontman Erik Rutan offers the following update: "The band has been locked up in Mana Recording Studios doing pre-production for the past 2 months, finishing up songs that we have been writing over the last year in between tours and albums that I've produced, and we feel we have come up with one of Hate Eternal's heaviest, most twisted, evil, melodic, and insane albums yet. It was my goal to expand upon what the band has done in the past, and add new dynamics and twists to the traditional, dissonant Hate Eternal style, yet keep it in the same vein. It took the three of us really pushing ourselves, and digging deep into the essence of who we are as musicians and writers and players to create something very unique and special. We cannot wait for everyone to hear what we have in store. Look out for updates from the studio over the next few months."

Hate Eternal - Frontman Hospitalized, Drop Off US Tour

Florida death metallers Hate Eternal have issued the following update:

"Hate Eternal have been forced to drop off the ongoing Job For A Cowboy North American tour due an infection in Erik Rutan's hand and complications in his kidney. Erik was admitted to an Iowa City hospital on the early morning of Nov. 23rd and has remained under doctor's supervision since.

The infection has caused concern for the doctors, but the major concern of the doctor's is, Erik's kidney. Erik has had a couple of procedures done on his kidney. Erik will not be able to continue the tour, but he is expected to make a full recovery. He is expected to be released sometime next week and then will seek further treatment at home in Florida.

Hate Eternal would like thank to everyone on the tour for their understanding of the situation. Hate Eternal would also like to thank all the fans who have expressed concern for Erik's health."
