It's been five-and-a-half years since Iron Maiden released their most recent studio album The Book Of Souls, but frontman Bruce Dickinson recently delivered video message confirming that the band has been in the studio working on what appears to be new material for their long-awaited seventeenth studio album. Furthermore, Iron Maiden announce the release of a brand new double live album Nights Of The Dead, Legacy Of The Beast: Live in Mexico City, recorded during the band's three sold out arena shows there in September 2019. It will be out on on November 20th worldwide.

Iron Maiden will continue their Legacy Of The Beast Tour into 2020 heading to Australia, New Zealand, Japan and a first ever visit to The Philippines. This will be followed by shows in Israel and Dubai before circling back into Europe for a final run which will be mainly Festival and headline stadium dates, plus some arena shows. So far, the band has played to close to two million fans in 39 countries around the globe since the tour opened in 2018, including headlining to a capacity crowd of 100,000 at the legendary Rock In Rio festival in Brazil.

Metal legends Iron Maiden are facing yet another lawsuit. According to The Sun, the band is being sued by their former singer Dennis Willcock, who sang for Maiden in 1976 and 1977, for allegedly stealing the lyrics to some of their classic early songs. Willcock claims to have written the lyrics to the tracks "Prowler", "Charlotte The Harlot", "Phantom Of The Opera", "Iron Maiden" and "Prodigal Son", which were recorded and released by Iron Maiden on their first two albums, Iron Maiden (1980) and Killers (1981). A spokesperson for the band called the allegations "outrageous" and "absolutely ridiculous" when asked for comment.

The Iron Maiden train never stops and next year the legendary metallers will embark on another European tour. Iron Maiden have announced that, following 2014's reissue of their first eight albums, Parlophone Records will release twelve brand new pressings of albums from the period 1990-2015 in heavyweight 180g black vinyl. Along with their eight studio albums released in these 25 years, a specially selected choice of four live recordings from this era will be included. As far as the studio recordings are concerned, it has been made known that the audio on these releases has been cut from the high resolution remasters of 2015 when the band's catalogue was digitally upgraded and that they will be packaged in identical artwork to the initial vinyl releases.

Eddie is not for the faint-hearted? Lithuanian authorities have banned poster advertisements for Iron Maiden's world tour because the band's trademark Eddie the Head mascot may frighten children. The British heavy metal group is currently touring Europe on their The Book Of Souls world tour and is due to arrive in the Baltic country for a show in Kaunas's 18,000-capacity ?algiris Arena later this month. The poster was deemed scary enough that it has been banned in Lithuania.
