Event:	Ensiferum: North American Tour 2015

Korpiklaani are set to release their new album Noita soon. In addition to their recently announced North American tour dates with Ensiferum, Korpiklaani has announced a run of North American headline shows with Trollfest providing direct support. These dates begin on April 28th in Charlotte, NC and run through May 5th in San Diego, CA. The two bands will then join up with co-headliner Ensiferum May 6th in Los Angeles. The tour then crosses the country and wraps up on May 29th in New York. Today the band also premieres the lyric video for their first new song to be unveiled, "Lempo". Give it a spin over here.

The tour kicks off on May 6th 2015 at the infamous House of Blues in Los Angeles where the band will start promoting their new album One Man Army, which will be issued on Tuesday, February 24th via Metal Blade Records. Folk metal superstars Korpiklaani have just announced that they have inked a new deal with Nuclear Blast for the release of their upcoming new album entitled Noita, which is set for a release in May 2015. The follow-up to Manala has been recorded at Petrax Studio with Aksu Hanttu handling production, recording and mixing again. It will also be the first album to feature new accordion player Sami Perttula, who has been playing a very active role in the folk arrangements along with fiddler Tuomas Rounakari. However, you will still have to wait a little more to listen to it.

In a statement on Korpiklaani's official website, Juho Kauppinen announced that he has stepped down as the band's accordionist. After eight-and-a-half years with Korpiklaani, during which he recorded six albums, Kauppinen has decided to leave, citing the difficulties of touring life and discomfort with his musical responsibilities. Kauppinen says that he has grown to prefer playing his music privately and free of stress, away from the obligations of performance.
