Megadeth - Enter Studio In January, To Auction Decades Of Tour Memorabilia
Megadeth's frontman Dave Mustaine has recently revealed that the band is gearing up to start recording the follow-up to 2013's Super Collider album. Speaking to the "Classic Rock Magazine Show", at Classic Rock Roll Of Honour event at the Avalon in Hollywood, California, Mustaine said: "We're commencing the writing process right now and we're going to start [recording] in January of next year. We'll be touring in August with a very huge English metal band in the States and South America, and we're hoping to get our record out sometime in the summer."

Megadeth - Previously Unreleased Video Online, To Issue Albums On Picture Disc

Megadeth - Withdraw From Motörboat Due To Medical Issue
American metallers Megadeth were among the bands confirmed for Motörhead's first annual cruise MotörBoat. Unfortunately, due to Dave Mustaine's health issues, the band had to withdraw from the line-up. Heavy metal all-star band Metal Allegiance - including Megadeth's David Ellefson and Chris Broderick - has been added to the Motörboat music lineup.

Megadeth - Tracking New Material
Megadeth released their latest album Super Collider last year but guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine and drummer Shawn Drover are already tracking demo ideas for the next studio record. Megadeth - Cancel All Immediate Tour Dates
Megadeth have canceled immediate tour plans as bassist David Ellefson and his family mourn the loss of his brother, who passed away on May 19th, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after battling cancer. The band sends their deepest condolences and prayers to David during this time and ask that the fans please do the same. David Ellefson will take a break to spend time with his family.

Megadeth - Boots Newsted From Soundwave Sideshows
Soundwave Touring have confirmed that at the request of Megadeth, Newsted will not be performing at the Melbourne and Sydney sidewaves. Every year, bands are recruited to tour throughout Australia for the Soundwave Festival. Many bands take the opportunity to play extra 'Sidewave' shows while they're traveling around the country, but Jason Newsted's solo band has been booted from two Megadeth side shows "at the request" of the band.

Wacken Open Air 2014 - Megadeth, Carcass And More Confirmed
Megadeth is confirmed to perform at next year's edition of the Wacken Open Air festival on August 2nd, 2014 in Wacken, Germany. All 75,000 tickets to the festival, set to take place from July 31st - August 2nd, were sold in less than 48 hours. Other bands recently confirmed include Hellyeah, W.A.S.P., Hatebreed, Motörhead and Carcass.

Megadeth have just released Countdown To Extinction: Live on Blu-ray, DVD and CD, chronicling last year's tour where they commemorated the classic album's 20th anniversary. Megadeth have unveiled the trailer of their new DVD Countdown To Extinction: Live to be released worldwide on September 24th (September 23rd outside of North America) via Tradecraft/UMe. It will be available in several video and audio configurations, including deluxe Blu-ray/CD, DVD, CD, digital album, and more. The band performed their fifth studio album Countdown To Extinction in its entirety. The album was recorded in Los Angeles in 1992 and released that same year. It became a classic album.

Megadeth - Bassist's Autobiography Due In October
Megadeth's bassist David Ellefson will publish his autobiography My Life With Deth on October 29th through Howard Books. Ellefson penned the autobiography over the last year with the assistance of writer Joel McIver. The memoir chronicles Ellefson's own personal story covering everything from his initial descent into addiction early on in his career, his recovery, and his return to a Christian faith. He also talks about his studies to become a Lutheran pastor.
