Original Van Halen bassist Mark Stone has passed away after a battle with cancer. Mark's death was confirmed by his brother, Brad Stone. Mark was part of Van Halen from 1972 to 1974.

American heavy metal/hard rock act Riot, now known as Riot V, have announced that the founding member and guitarist Lou ''LA'' Kouvaris has died at the age of 66. The cause of death is unknown. He was part of the band between 1976 to 1978, and contributed his share on the Riot's very first record, Rock City (1977).

Such could be said about Abiogenesis - A Coming Into Existence, the band's new anniversary album, set to be released on May 3rd worldwide via Agonia Records. It was recorded and recreated from the original 1991-1996 era that preceded Origin's official formation. The album features never-before released tracks, that were recreated to the best of his ability, by founding Origin member and mastermind Paul Ryan, who recorded all instruments himself, between 2013 and 2018.

Swedish death metal masters Dismember are back! Well, at least for one show. The band is very excited to announce the return with reunited original line-up for an exclusive European appearance at Scandinavia Deathfest 2019, which will take place on October 11th & 12th at the Kraken Sthlm and Slaktkyrkan venues in Stockholm, Sweden. This will mark the first performance by the band since 2008. Dismember called it quits back in October, 2011.

It is in this exact line-up, the Rhapsody Farewell tour happened almost a year ago.

According to some Spanish sites, Panzer guitarist from 1981 to 1985, Juan Leal, has died. He was one of the original members of the heavy metal band as well. The band's frontman Carlos Pina also confirmed the news on his Facebook page. Rest in peace.
