Pro-Pain - Split With Guitarist, Announce Replacement

Pro-Pain have announced the departure of guitarist Adam Phillips and addition of Greg Discenza, who will fill the empty spot. Phillips joined Pro-Pain in 2011 as the replacement for Tom Klimchuck and appeared on the band's last three studio albums, 2012's Straight To The Dome, 2013's The Final Revolution and 2015's Voice Of Rebellion.

Purest Of Pain - Releasing Debut Album, Stream Song

Purest Of Pain are finally releasing their debut album! In case you didn't know, Purest Of Pain is a Dutch melodic death metal band led by guitarist and main songwriter Merel Bechtold of Delain (and also MaYaN, The Gentle Storm). The band also includes Delain drummer Joey de Boer, guitarist Michael van Eck, vocalist J.D. Kaye, and bassist Frank van Leeuwen. Auri - New Tuomas Holopainen Band Debuts Single, Reveals Album Details

You might remember that a few months ago, a new band called Auri was announced. Finnish singer Johanna Kurkela (Sonata Arctica, Tuomas Holopainen) lent her voice, while Troy Donockley and Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish) cast their spells with various other instruments. Using selected guest musicians and friends, the album finally takes its ultimate form under the direction of sound engineer Tim Oliver, all within the 'Real World' studios in Southern England. Now, the band has released their first digital single for the song "Night 13".

Painted Black - Announce New Album 'Raging Light'

Pro-Pain - Gary Meskil Robbed In Brussels, Murder Attempt Investigated

The singer of the American crossover thrash metal band Pro-Pain was robbed in Brussels on Monday night. Gary Meskil suffered severe injuries. The shows of the band in Roeselare (Belgium) and Osnabrück (Germany) had to be canceled. Meskil was attacked by a gang and robbed from his money, credit card and passport late at night. Meskil was quickly admitted to the hospital after suffering head trauma and massive blood loss, but has stabilized in the meantime.

Pain Of Salvation - Guitarist Asked To Leave, Johan Hallgren Returns

Shortly after finishing the European tour promoting their new opus, In The Passing Light Of Day, Pain Of Salvation lost one of their members, as Ragnar Sólberg decided to leave the band. The guitarist posted a long statement explaining that personal misunderstandings with the band's leader, Daniel Gildenlöw, were impossible to handle, and he was asked to leave the band.
