09:39 - Jaeryd17 Are you kidding? I loved the ending to Mass Effect 3. I think everyone was just looking for a happy ending and threw a toddler-fit because they didn't get it. Also, Boxcar, have you played Fallout 1 or 2 yet?
06:45 - huascaman The EA sports NHL games are the best. \m/
06:29 - Unhealer Jaeryd17, agree Mass Effect is excellent. Also, I didn't mind the so-hated ending that much.
06:23 - BoxCar Willy I really only play Fallout. Ive beaten both at least 10 times, (new Vegas probably even more). They are just the best, they capture everything I love. They just need a metal soundtrack and dirtbikes. Lol.
06:20 - Jaeryd17 No best game series, I don't think... but Mass Effect comes incredibly close. Love me some Halo, Metroid, Zelda, Borderlands, Battlefield, and Elder Scrolls, though.
05:59 - psykometal I've done like dozens of playthroughs using the Oghma to level boost, to try out several different character builds (since there used to not be respec option), so I now I want to actually complete it, or come real close. :)
Skeletonwitch have tapped drummer Tony Laureano for their upcoming spring dates and to play on their upcoming as-yet-untitled new album, due out this fall.
Laureano, who's played for acts such as 1349, Nile, Dimmu Borgir, Massacre, Angelcorpse and more, will be replacing the recently departed, Derrick "Mullet Chad" Nau, who is returning to art school and further pursuing his art career.
Guitarist Scott Hedrick commented: "Our good friend Tony will be playing drums on our April tour, new album, and for the foreseeable future. We're fucking stoked to have a drummer of his caliber and experience on board. He's a beast behind the kit and a great fucking guy as well. You can't ask for more than that!
Skeletonwitch just finished touring with Job For A Cowboy and Misery Index. Guitarist Scott Hedrick wrapped it up as follows:
"A huge thank you to the bands, the fans, and everyone else involved in the tour - except that one promoter; fuck you, dude! Kidding! Anyway, we had a fucking blast as usual. It's hard not to when you're traveling around the country with your best friends and your job is to party and shred.
When we wake up from the impending holiday blackout, we'll be devoting all of our time finishing the next record. So keep an eye out: as the writing process continues, we'll probably book a few dates and debut some new material. Thanks to everyone who supported us in 2010. It's been a great year!"
On the heels of their show-stealing performances last month on Ozzfest's second stage, Ohio's Skeletonwitch have announced a fall headlining tour. The North American Skullsplitter Tour 2010 will see the blackened-thrash animals supported by labelmates Withered and Landmine Marathon.
Skeletonwitch's Scott Hedrick commented: "We live for the road, so after six weeks of writing the next record, it's going to be great to get back on the stage, basement floor, your mother's house... whatever! Perhaps we'll break out some new tunes. We'll definitely break out some beers! It's also killer to tour with two other Prosthetic bands. Keeping it in the family!"
