Slayer - Announce New Album Title And Release Date

Thrashers Slayer finally revealed more about their new album. It already has a title and a release date. In a video, the band confirmed that Repentless is the title of the 12-track album and it's coming out via Nuclear Blast Records on September 11th, curiously enough. The title came about after a song inspired by late guitarist Jeff Hanneman.

Slayer - Headlining Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival

Slayer have just been confirmed as the headliners for this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, the self-proclaimed world's biggest heavy music touring festival. The festival enters its eighth year with Slayer, who recently completed their new album, headlining the shows. Additional performances from King Diamond, Hellyeah, and The Devil Wears Prada will round off the Rockstar Energy Drink Main Stage. The Victory Records Stage will feature Whitechapel, Thy Art Is Murder, Jungle Rot, Sister Sin, Sworn In, Shattered Sun, Feed Her To The Sharks, Code Orange, and Kissing Candice.

Motörhead - MotörBoat 2015 Confirms Slayer, Anthrax And More

Slayer - Releasing New Single For Record Store Day

The mighty Slayer are currently working hard on their new album. However, "When The Stillness Comes", the first new track from Slayer in nearly a year, will be available as part of Record Store Day on April 18th first. The song, accompanied by a live recording of "Black Magic", from the band's 1983 album Show No Mercy and recorded live at the 2014 Wacken Open Air Festival, will be available as a limited-edition (only 5000 copies worldwide), 7" vinyl picture disc exclusively at all participating independent record stores worldwide.

Slayer - Give Tickets To Fan Who Spoofed Car Commercial, Preview New Song

Well, someone just got lucky. In an ingenious effort to raise money for Slayer tickets by offering to sell his 1997 Ford Escort LX, a Los Angeles-based Slayer fan and his friends filmed a spoof of Lincoln's recent Matthew McConaughey commercial and released it on YouTube on Monday. Four days and over 100,000 views later, Slayer's Tom Araya took time off from his studio sessions to respond to Jake and the band just offered him two tickets for their show at The Forum in Los Angeles on November 14th.

Slayer - Back In The Studio

The thrash legends Slayer are back in the studio to record the 11th album of their career. World Painted Blood, their latest output, came out already five years ago. Tentatively set for release in early 2015, this new record will be the first since guitarist Jeff Hanneman's passing and since drummer Paul Bostaph rejoined after Dave Lombardo was kicked off the band. Slayer - New Tour With Exodus And Suicidal Tendencies

Earlier this year, Slayer did a small U.S. tour with Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies and every date was sold out. Today the thrash legends Slayer announced another tour with Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies as special guests again this fall, kicking off on November 12th in Oakland, California, playing through to December 5th in Detroit. Slayer - Sign To Nuclear Blast, Debut New Song

Slayer start off the day with big news. First, last night at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, Slayer surprised the capacity crowd with an unannounced performance, kicking off the show with a three-song set that included the global premiere of "Implode," the band's first new studio recording in five years. "Implode" can now be downloaded at Slayer's website provided you give your email address or sign up with your Facebook account. The band also signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast. Slayer - Remember Jeff Hanneman On His Birthday

Jeff Hanneman's death is still fresh in our memories. The legendary guitarist would have been 50 today and of course Slayer has paid a homage to him on this day. The band released a message talking about his influence and the mark he left in metal for years to come. His legacy will live on. RIP.

Slayer - US Tour With Exodus, Suicidal Tendencies

Slayer will take a break from writing and recording their next album to hit the road in May for a handful of dates in the US. Joining Slayer as special guests for these shows are Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus, marking the first time Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies have toured together since the 1990 European Clash Of The Titans tour. Gary Holt continues to fill in for Slayer's fallen guitarist Jeff Hanneman and will do double-duty as guitarist in his primary band Exodus.

Rock On The Range 2014 - Slayer, Motörhead And More Confirmed

The 2014 Rock On The Range line-up has been revealed and it has some heavyweight names in there. The three day festival, which takes place in Columbus, Ohio in the US from May 16th-18th, features headliners Guns N' Roses, Avenged Sevenfold and Kid Rock. Some of the other bands announced include Motörhead, Slayer, Exodus, Gojira, Mastodon, Killswitch Engage, Black Label Society, Alter Bridge, Trivium, Down, Five Finger Death Punch, Kvelertak, Avatar, Fozzy, Suicidal Tendencies, Skindred and Bring Me The Horizon.

Slayer - Ten Albums To Be Reissued On Vinyl

It's a vinyl feast. On December 10th, 2013, American Recordings (owned by long-time Slayer producer Rick Rubin) will reissue ten of legends Slayer's seminal albums on vinyl in North America. All ten albums will be available individually and were re-mastered from the original analog flat master tapes and pressed on the highest quality, 180-gram audiophile vinyl.

Slayer - North American Fall Tour Confirmed

Following a summer of touring in Europe, South America and Mexico, thrashers Slayer will headline its first North American tour in two years. The five-week-plus trek will kick off on October 22nd in Anchorage, Alaska, marking the first time the band has played there since 1996. The tour will include the band's previously announced return to New York's Theatre at Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Palladium, venues the band hasn't performed at in 25 years. You can see the dates confirmed so far below with more to be announced soon. Araya and King are working on new material and hope to spend some time in the studio prior to this tour.
