Behold, legendary German thrashers Sodom are bringing us some fresh info & details regarding their upcoming full length, to be entitled Genesis XIX. Due out November 27th, it's comprised of 12 new tracks. The album was recorded by Siggi Bemm and mastered by Patrick W. Engel. The cover artwork was illustrated again by Joe Petagno. Genesis XIX will be released as a CD Digipak version, 2LP gatefold version, exclusive bundle versions with mask (only at the Steamhammer shop), download and stream through SPV/Steamhammer.

German metallers Sodom started 2018 with major changes as Tom Angelripper parted ways with their drummer and guitarist . But the band will go on as a quartet and have hired new guns. Guitarist Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik has rejoined the group, with Stefan "Husky" Hüskens (Asphyx, Desaster) set to be the man behind the drum kit, and Yorck Segatz (Beyondition) also joining on guitar. A new single will be out in the summer 2018, with a new album to follow in the spring 2019.

The new year has started with a change for Sodom: vocalist/bassist Tom Angelripper has split up with guitarist Bernd "Bernemann" Kost and drummer Markus "Makka" Freiwald. Despite of this line-up change, all scheduled Sodom shows will take place from April 2018 as announced. Tom is set to introduce his new comrades-in-arms at the Full Metal Mountain. Whether the band will continue to operate as a trio or perhaps become a quartet in future remains unclear.

Sodom's 35th anniversary celebration show will be special as the German thrash legends will be rejoined on stage by former guitarists Josef "Grave Violator" Dominik (who was in the band from 1984-1985), Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik (1987-1990) and Andy Brings (1991-1995) on December 26th at Zeche in Bochum, Germany to perform old classics.
