Soilwork - Welcome New Bassist

Soilwork have announced a line-up change. The melodic death metallers, who are about to release a new album called The Ride Majestic, have a new bassist. As of this new album cycle, the band is joined by new bassist Markus Wibom, formerly of Helsingborg hardcore group Hearts Alive. Wibom replaces longtime bassist Ola Flink, who has amicably left the group to focus on other endeavors.

Soilwork - Announce New Album Details

Another new album is coming courtesy of melodic death metallers Soilwork! The Sweden-based unit has announced details regarding their forthcoming 10th studio album, called The Ride Majestic. The new album will hit stores worldwide on August 28th, 2015 via Nuclear Blast Records. Discover the cover art illustrated by Róbert Borbás (Grinddesign) below as well as other important details. Soulfly - Confirm Tour With Soilwork, Decapitated

Soulfly just announced that they will embark on a North American headlining tour starting on September 30th in Los Angeles. The band will be supporting their upcoming vicious new release Archangel, which was produced by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) and will be released on August 14th via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Joining them on this epic campaign are Swedish melodic death metal visionaries Soilwork, Polish technical death metallers Decapitated, and newcomers Shattered Sun. No word yet on who will replace bassist Tony Campos.

SOiL - Tour Bus Involved In Accident

Another accident on tour. Luckily this time, everyone is okay and there are no serious injuries. Ryan McCombs, frontman of SOiL, has announced that the group's tour bus crashed yesterday. SOiL's tour bus was involved in a road accident following the band's concert in Des Moines, Iowa.

Soilwork - Releasing First DVD/Blu-Ray, Details Announced

Back in March 2014, Soilwork performed a special show at Circus Club in Helsinki, Finland. Now they have announced the release of their anticipated first ever live DVD/Blu-ray, Live In The Heart Of Helsinki on March 13th, 2015 through Nuclear Blast Records. SOiL - Vocalist Ryan McCombs Recovering From Stroke

The American group SOiL just announced on their Facebook page that their frontman Ryan McCombs (ex-Drowning Pool) is currently in the hospital recovering from a stroke. They wish him a speedy recovery. Thankfully, it was caught early and didn't happen while they were on the road with limited access to things. Ryan has also posted an update and he is doing better.

Soilwork - Singer Suffers Back Injury, Cancel Rockharz Festival Show

Bad news from the Soilwork camp. The Swedes are forced to cancel their gig at this year's Rockharz Open Air (in Ballenstedt, Germany) due to a serious back injury of their singer, Björn "Speed" Strid. This decision was a hard one to make, especially since it is the second time in a row after last year's forced cancellation.

Soil - New Video Online

"Loaded Gun" is the new Joshua Allan Vargas-directed video from Chicago heavy rockers SOiL. SOiL are currently touring the U.K. these days with Skindred. The song is taken from the band's sixth studio album Whole, which was released in August 2013. The video features live footage.

Vagos Open Air 2014 - Opeth, Soilwork And More Announced

The Portuguese festival Vagos Open Air 2014 will take place at Quinta do Ega in Vagos, from August 8th-9th, 2014. After announcing the first confirmations Kreator and Epica, the organizers now confirm Swedish bands Opeth and Soilwork for the festival. Joining these bands will also be Murk, a Portuguese band that just released the EP Tyrants Of Decay.

Soil - To Support Skindred On The UK Tour

Chicago based rockers SOiL are pleased to announce that they will hit the road through United Kingdom, as direct support to British reggae rockers Skindred, starting on January 22nd, 2014 at UAE in Norwich. This tour will be the first UK trek in support of Soil's sixth studio release, Whole, available now through Pavement Entertainment and AFM Records. A Russian and European tour will follow these UK dates.

Soilent Green - Drummer Recovers From Surgery

Soilent Green's drummer Tommy Buckley, also in Crowbar, has recently underwent a Prostatectomy due to cancer. The good news is that he is now recovering from the surgery and doing well so far.
