Just a few days prior to the release of their sophomore album, Monuments have unveiled another track for their fans to hear, which can be streamed below. Approximately two years after their debut album Portal Of I was released, Aussies Ne Obliviscaris have something in store for us. They have announced that the mastering of their new album is nearing completion. Their next album will be released sometime this year.

Acclaimed folk black metal quartet Agalloch have unveiled a new song titled "Celestial Effigy" which is available for streaming over at Pitchfork or below. The track is taken off their upcoming album The Serpent & The Sphere which is due to hit the shelves on the 13th of May this year via Profound Lore Records in North America followed by an European release by Eisenwald on May 19th. This is the first taste available from the new album so far.
Beneath the burden of their fans' anticipation with regards to the new vocalist, Barren Earth plans to enter the studio in March to partially record the follow-up to their 2012 release, The Devil's Resolve. Due to keyboardist Kasper Mårtenson's schedule conflicts, they will return to the studio to finish off the album later in the year. Jón Aldará, who stepped in for renowned Swallow The Sun frontman Mikko Kotamäki, hails from Faroe Islands doom metal band Hamferð. You can read up on the subject over here and here.
Care for another album from Enslaved? In a recent interview, Ivar Bjørnson of Enslaved commented on the band's plans for the future and mentioned that a few side-projects will be revived/born. He also confirms that the band will work on a new album this year.

It seems like progressive death metal quartet Spires has been busy since the release of Lucid Abstractions last year.
In a recent interview, frontman Paul Sadler stated: "What album, I never mentioned an album... Oh, the one we've been prattling on about seemingly for decades? Well, it's all written, and more or less all rehearsed and ready to be recorded except one song, so once we've got that down we'll be going into the studio. Unfortunately it's a very long song (no surprises there), so it could take a little while!"
