Weeping Silence and their label Massacre Records have released a new track off their new fourth album Opus IV Oblivion recently. This pre-listening is the track "Eyes Of The Monolith". With their new album coming this October 23rd, you can have a foretaste of the new melancholic material created by the gothic/doom metallers from Malta right here. While they didn't make it to the 9th Annual Metal Storm Awards, Weeping Silence have recently been nominated for the "Best Heavy Metal Band" award in the small nation of Malta's National Music Awards 2012 alongside Beheaded, Myopic Destiny and Insurgence.

Maltese gothic/doom metallers Weeping Silence have entered the studio again in December 2011 and 2012, this time at Spine Splitter Studio, to record their most recent material, which also features male backing vocals. The album features Anders Jacobsson of Draconian as a guest vocalist, it is being produced by Brett Caldas-Lima at Tower Studios in France and the band plans to release it this year. There are also a number of shows planned for this year.
