Haavard (Håvard Jørgensen) and his guitar work has been a seminal presence on early Ulver and Satyricon records, recently returning to the black metal world with Dold Vorde Ens Navn, and now taking a Kveldssanger inspired dark folk sound for his solo work.

Gggolddd have premiered their This Shame Should Not Be Mine back in April 2021 as a livestreamed performance at the online Roadburn Redux festival. That livestream was only available for a limited time, and in the meantime Gggolddd have not only performed the album in full at a physical Roadburn, but also released the studio album itself. Now, that original Roadburn Redux performance is available for streaming, both as the livestreamed performance and as an album.

Romanian folk metal band E-an-na has already proven its desire to break outside of the folk metal norms with their previous EP, the tango Fascinathanatango EP, and now they released a surprise EP that mixes modern metal and Eastern European traditional music. M.L.R. was released on the 29th of September along with a music video for the track "Malere", which features guest vocals from Bogdan Muşuroia (stylized as "Bogdan de la Vâlcea").
