Dawn (SWE), who are one of those few bands who played quality melodic black metal but went missing from the scene after the 90's, are now returning finally after 18 years. They announced some new merchandise through their official Facebook page, and also commented under the video of their full-length classic Slaughtersun (Crown Of The Triarchy) that they confirm that the band is already in the recording process of their third record, the first new material under their name in 18 years.
The prog metal label Inside Out Music just uploaded a taste of Transcendence, the upcoming Devin Townsend Project record that is set to be released on the 9th of September this year. Andy Schmidt, the main songwriter and singer of the German progressive metal band Disillusion, has posted some news online. The role for bassist in the band has been filled by Ben Haugg, their newest member. New material is in progress and the group promises news about it soon.
Jarno Ruuskanen, the leader of the Finnish group Ikuinen Kaamos, has shared some news on the band's official Facebook page regarding their upcoming album. In a response to a fan's question, he confirmed the recordings are currently ongoing: "Drums are ready and I've just started to record guitars. Still a lot of work to do." The band went on a brief hiatus in 2011, and it seems they have spent their time well, writing new material.
French experimental/progressive metallers Hypno5e have recently started recording their upcoming album in a studio in Florida. At the same time, they have made available a new video of a live material recorded in October for the song "Brume Unique Obscurité, Part II" off their most recent album Acid Mist Tomorrow. Some of the band members are known for their great love for filmmaking, so you can expect high quality and intricate visuals.

The progressive metal masters Symphony X have just updated on their upcoming new studio album via their official website. Previously, the band said that they were writing new material. Now, Symphony X will begin tracking drums next month with the songs practically finished.
French progressive rock/metal band Demians, led by mastermind Nicholas Chapel, is finally tracking its new album. It will be the first new material by the band since their critically acclaimed 2010 album Mute. Nicholas took a break from the music business in 2011, now he's back. After spending some time writing new ideas during the past few weeks, Nicholas will be spending this June working on the new Demians album that he wants to release completely independently.
Swiss post-hardcore/metal band Rorcal posted a message on their Tumblr page revealing that they are making all their music available for free over here. The band's official shop or the Bandcamp site is still operating, in case you want to order physical material or contribute in other ways. Their latest album Világvége (which means "the end of world") was released in February this year.

Swedish bluesy rockers Graveyard have recently premiered a brand new videoclip which can now be viewed below. It was made for the song "Goliath" and it was directed by Artur Wolgers. The song is taken from their upcoming album Lights Out, to be released on October 26th (Europe) and November 6th (North America) this year via Nuclear Blast. This is the band's second videoclip.
