16:17 - Marcel Hubregtse anopther moronic one on Vulgar Display. WTF? There is no rap on that album whatsoever N.W.A. discovers Prong - 0%
16:17 - !J.O.O.E.! You asserted that mdma would not affect memory under it's use: your evidence suggests that in many people it does. You're right, that is the end of the discussion as you proved my point. Thanks!
16:15 - LeKiwi I wasn't referring to the anecdotal evidence, I was talking about studies in general. In any case, you're one person and the internet has far more anecdotal evidence than you're able to provide. Memory loss varies. End of disc.
16:11 - !J.O.O.E.! Well anecdotal evidence is not studies, its others' opinions. But nice try with fobbing me off by erroneously using a wordy study that doesn't apply to our discussion ;)
16:10 - LeKiwi Studies > your experience ;) You're just being antagonistic. It was a joke. Shoo :P
16:09 - !J.O.O.E.! And btw: being on drugs at a band that doesn't interest or excite you would probably make you more interested in the people around you, not the band.
16:08 - Hex_Omega On MA they don't even consider Pantera to be a Thrash Metal band - 'Groove Metal' not Groove Thrash.
We've given you one week to win a signed poster and a copy of Drowning Pool's newest album Resilience. Not everyone who entered got our incredibly hard question right, but out of those who did we picked one lucky winner. And his name is...
For the past two weeks we've given you the chance to win some tasty black metal from Les Acteurs De l'Ombre Productions, but alas, the time has come for the contest to close! And we have three lucky winners!
The Metal Storm Awards 2012 have been history for almost one month already and we are still not done with great news! The French avant-garde and post-black metal label Les Acteurs De l'Ombre Productions (LADLO) was actually so thrilled about all the votes for The Great Old Ones, they decided to say thank you to the readers of Metal Storm by giving YOU the chance to win some of their newest releases!
German black metal band Eïs (AKA The Artists Formerly Known As Geïst) have parted ways with 3/5 of their lineup, namely vocalist Cypher D. Rex and guitarists Hedrykk F. Gausenatt and Zyan.
Comments band mastermind Alboîn Goldmund:
"It doesn't feel good, but I've to say that vocalist Cypher D. Rex and guitarists Hedrykk F. Gausenatt and Zyan are not part of the band anymore.
Let me explain - but before that I wish to thank all three guys for many years full of blood, sweat and tears and for everything we created together. I'm full of pride.
There are moments you just feel that something has to change. For me, such a moment had come. I felt more and more of a stomach ache with the direction the band took within the last one and a half year. The album being in progress during the last months - mainly with inputs by Cypher and Hedrykk - didn't feel like an Eïs album for me, even if that is a very subjective interpretation of course. It came clearer and clearer to my mind how important this band and everything it stands for is to me, and that I neither could nor wanted to live with any musical compromise in Eïs.
Noizeletter Magazine has published the bands and the first slew of dates of the Paganfest Tour 2012. The trek will be headlined by Swiss melodic death/folk metallers Eluveitie, support will come from Primordial, Negură Bunget, Heidevolk and Sólstafir.

After the cancellations of Opeth and Katatonia less than a month ago Turkey's Unirock Open Air Festival, set to take place on the coming weekend from 9th to 11th of September 2011 in Istanbul, has to suffer from two further high-profile cancellations. Sweden's power metal band Hammerfall and Swiss folk metallers Eluveitie both report communication and logistic problems with the festival organizer which force both bands to pull out of the billing.
Swedish dark metallers Katatonia have cancelled their appearance at Unirock Open Air Festival, set to take place from 9th to 11th of September 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey. The band's statement reads as follows:
"It is with great regret that Katatonia are forced to cancel their September 9th appearance at the Unirock Festival in Istanbul, Turkey. Due to a conflict with the festival's promoter who were not able to fulfil their contractual obligations, our agent and management decided to pull out as we can't afford to risk financial loss.
We hereby apologize to any fans who were expecting us to appear and we'll do our absolute best to schedule a new tour date for Turkey in the near future."
German black metal band Nocte Obducta have announced their reunion and the release of their ninth album titled Verderbnis (Der Schnitter kratzt an jeder Tür), scheduled for release in November 2011 via MDD Records. It will be the band's first sign of life after their hiatus in 2006 and their swan song Sequenzen einer Wanderung, which was released two years after the band's alleged demise.
Legendary heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne, designated Saturday headliner of the Graspop Metal Meeting taking place this weekend in Dessel, Belgium, had to cancel tonight's performance as he suffers from severe laryngitis and his doctor has ordered an immediate 72 hours vocal rest before further evaluation.
Comments Ozzy: "I was so looking forward to performing at the legendary Graspop Metal Meeting. It really pains me to let people down and it is with great disappointment that I am unable to perform for the great fans of Belgium."
The festival schedule has been modified accordingly. Former co-headliners Judas Priest will now headline on Saturday in a two-hour performance featuring a special laser show. Belgian thrashers Channel Zero have been added to the billing on short notice and will perform a 60 minute show, the first time they'll be performing their reunion album Feed 'Em With A Brick live.
German classic death metal act Morgoth has announced its reunion after being on hold for the past 14 years to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal debut album "Cursed." The first announced anniversary show will be at Death Feast Open Air, taking place from June 23rd-25th, 2011 in Hünxe, situated in Germany's Ruhr district. The official statement reads as follows:
Ever since Century Media Records re-released the 1991 Morgoth album Cursed in 2006 as well as a Best Of compilation one year earlier, there have been constant rumours circulating about an actual comeback of Morgoth. These rumours as well as several offers from festival promoters have finally challenged the band to actively celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original release of the Cursed album by playing some selected festival shows in 2011. The setlist will consequently mainly consist of songs from the Cursed album as well as some cuts from the classic 1989/1990 EPs Resurrection Absurd and The Eternal Fall. The band's line-up for these special shows is almost confirmed by now as well and will consist of Marc Grewe (vocals), Harry Busse (guitar), Sebastian Swart (guitar), Thilo Mellies (band) as well as a great drummer, soon to be announced.

The band's upcoming tour, which was scheduled from February through April 2011, has been rescheduled to the fall of the same year. Already acquired tickets remain valid for the new dates, which can be found below the official statement.
States Sharon den Adel:
"As we are all gearing up for the release of our new album I have news which might come as a surprise: Robert and I are expecting a child. To be honest, this was not planned at all, but we're very happy about it as we experience our kids as an enrichment of our lives.
I'm happy to tell you that the release of our new album will not change: March 2011! The recordings for the album are completed and the songs are being mixed right now, all preparations for the release are in full swing, so there is no reason to put things on hold.

Last, but not least, American crossover heroes Suicidal Tendencies will be playing at Wacken for the very first time.
