German thrashers Destruction have come across more bad luck when it comes to tours. The band has been forced to pull out of their upcoming Australian appearances due to the tour promoter "not wanting them after all". They were supposed to play on New Year's Eve at the Screamfest Australia metal festival in Sydney and in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth for a side-tour.
The tour promoter hasn't made any kind of official statement but said when queried by Destruction said: "The board of Just Say Rock cannot afford to bring Destruction down to Australia for the festival and other shows. Not helping...was that the venues in both Brisbane and Perth had spoken to Just Say Rock prior to this and wanted to either cancel the shows or bump Destruction into bars/pubs as the sales for these shows are poor with what they stated as "people showing little interest" in attending."
