James LaBrie - On Recording New TSR Project
From James LaBrie, the Dream Theater front man:
"I thought it would be of interest to know a little more of how it was possible to finally record the TSR project.
Dirk Ulrich (Mastermind and Producer) and I spoke almost 6 years ago about the possibility of doing such a project and at the time it was supposed to be 3 rock tenors. By the way the acronym TSR is: True Symphonic Rockestra. Anyway to really see this thing through meant first and foremost finding and deciding on the singers and 3 that would blend well. Secondly, a label that shared our vision and enthusiasm.
I am extremely stoked about this recording and cannot wait for everyone to finally hear it. Dirk will begin the mix at MarinSound Studios in Krasnodar, Russia June 24th. We will keep you posted and let you know when the official TSR site is up."

In November, Europe will face the most brutal bill that has ever shared the same stage': Grave, Dismember, Entombed, Unleashed will team up to bring a night of the best metal Sweden has ever had to offer. Vanden Plas - Vocalist Launches Solo Project
Amaseffer is the new "holy project" from Andy Kuntz, enigmatic lead singer of German progressive metal band Vanden Plas.
The story of Exodus will be told in the eventual trilogy of albums with the Hebrew name of Amaseffer referring to the name chosen for the Israelites in the Bible.
Originating from Israel, the musical side of Amaseffer features Yuval Kramer (guitar), Hanan Abramovitch (guitar) and Erez Yohanan (drums). The unique progressive sound of the trilogy is a mixture of Middle Eastern spices with an epic, cinematic scope polished with philharmonic orchestrations.
Andy Kuntz will co-produce the albums, with the second and third albums due nine and eighteen months respectively after the release of the first CD. The band are not yet signed but hope a deal can be arranged soon.

Freak Kitchen on the road - Spain, France, UK, US & Russia!
"Finally, finally, finally we can announce freaky music will be heard in the UK in 2006! There will be a gig the 27th of September in Cardiff, Wales at The Point and also, just confirmed, Nottingham at The Rescue Rooms the 28th, Leeds, Hard Rock Café the 2nd of October + clinic at B I M M in Brighton the 3rd of October!
There will also be a clinic by IA at Hockley Music Academy in Nottingham 1 PM the 28th.
We plan to build a beefy UK tour from this with both concerts and clinics. More news soon. (Suggestions if you think we should come to your town, venues etc, can be sent to Mik Gaffney at our British record company Proper Music)."
