Intronaut - To Begin Recording New Album
Two years after they released their latest opus Habitual Levitations (Instilling Words With Tones), Intronaut are entering the studio again. The band has begun work on what will become their 5th full length album and the record will be recorded with Josh Newell (Cynic) with none other than Devin Townsend handling the mixing. They promise "more dense and brutal" songs this time around.

Slayer have just been confirmed as the headliners for this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, the self-proclaimed world's biggest heavy music touring festival. The festival enters its eighth year with Slayer, who recently completed their new album, headlining the shows. Babymetal - Sign With Sony, Debut Album Coming To U.S. And Europe
The biggest surprise on Metal Storm Awards 2014, Babymetal, just inked a deal with RAL/Sony Music Entertainment for the U.S. release of their 2014 critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. The album's re-release in the U.S. will feature two bonus tracks and it will be available digitally on May 12th and physically on June 16th, followed by releases in Canada and Mexico as well. The Japan-based all-girl-fronted band will also release the album in Europe via earMUSIC.

Vital Remains - Release Statement About Crucifix Incident
Death metallers Vital Remains made the news this week after their vocalist Brian Werner entered an onstage dispute with a club owner at The Haven in Orlando. The video of the incident circulated online (and you can see it below). After seeing a cross hanging at the venue above the stage, Brian Werner removed it, which prompted the club owner to rush to the stage and grab the cross. Allegedly, the woman didn't leave the stage until the show ended. Brian Werner has now released a statement explaining that the club owner assaulted the band, and also security ended up removing them from the venue.
