That was kind of my thought when I first read about this. You create something that's quite obviously going to offend people, then start bitching and moaning as soon as people want to censor it. I'm against censorship, but c'mon people, is this really any surprise? |

OMFG, it's evil Bush censorship of equisite art and I'm offended that Lady Gaga sells records and looks hot doing it and Germany is now obviously under Republican control and blablabla.
The band's members are so full of themselves it's disgusting. A bit of humility (and declining record sales) would really suit them but if anything the opposite is bound to happen. Besides, as long as something is not promoting Nazism no real consequences ever happen in Germany so quit bitching. |

Well, it actually doesn't surprise me at all. Christian boradcasters more or less censor the subtitles here as well. For example when the voice over says "millions of years ago" it has to be subtitled for them as "very long ago" because according to those Christian broadcasters the earth is about 5000 years old at most |

i am not making any moral statements on either sex or violence here, simply pointing out what you and others have apparently missed... not sure how many people have died to gun violence over the past 30 years, but i'm willing to bet AIDS is in the same ballpark, if not ahead.
And some organizations predict 80,000,000 more HIV/AIDS deaths in Africa by 2025... if this comes to pass just "a dick goin in and out of a pussy" will have killed tens of millions more people than all off the horrors of WW2.

they should steal a page from an old hag's book for cheap and easy controversy... several years ago Madge the Vag made out with Britney Spears during one of those celutard bullshit pat-each-other-on-the-back-aren't-we-great award shows to try to keep herself kind of relevant.

To all the suckers who compare the "Pussy" video to the average Lady Gaga music video.
Don't be stupid. There a significant difference between explicit sex scenes and the stuff Lady Gaga is just hinting to. She can get away with it because she's only alluding to it. In contrast, the Rammstein clip didn't leave much to the imagination, and was indeed a plain porn video, destined to be censored sooner or later.
If you guys want to ban Lady Gaga records too because of its content, who's the real puritan pansy here? |

| Uhh, the album didn't get banned for the video as the video isn't content of the album - the lyrics however are and that's what the German censorship is getting at. Please keep the video out of the discussion as that ain't got nothing to do with the censorship of the album and individual songs. |
