Anvil - Begin Recording New Album


Canadian metallers Anvil have entered Dave Grohl's (Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Them Crooked Vultures) Studio 606 in Northridge, California with producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Slayer, Airbourne, Filter, Atreyu, Alice Cooper) to begin recording their new album, Juggernaut Of Justice, which is scheduled for a spring 2011 release via The End Records.

They were immensely popular from 1982 to 1985. They were more popular back then than they are now. And they will never be as popular ever again because the quality of their albums will never reach that of "Metal On Metal" and "Forged In Fire" and will never be as influential again as they were back then.

ahh ok i always thought that no one had ever heard of them untill the film came along, all my friends were like ''whoose Anvil?'' not that their bad, i like what i've heard, just shows bieng lazy instead of looking into a abnd doesn't pay off!

A lot of people, actually. You're forgetting their (re)rise to fame from the documentary that came out not long ago.

I'm not sure exactly why you'd make such an insightful comment, seeing as they were once really big, then lost that fame but maintained a pretty strong cult following, and just had a documentary come out that resparked the worlds interest in them.
