Belphegor - New Album Details Revealed


Austrian black/death metal band Belphegor has revealed more details regarding their upcoming new album, called Blood Magick Necromance.

Produced by legend Peter Tägtgren at his Abyss Studios in Pärlby, Sweden and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren, Belphegor's new opus Blood Magick Necromance will be released on January 14th in Europe and February 8th in North America via Nuclear Blast Records.

The band has tapped two ingenious artists from Austria for artwork purposes: Helmut Wolech [a fetish photographer and former mortician] and Joachim Luetke for the magickal graphics and cover artwork. More activities on Blood Magick Necromance will be posted soon!

Fuk yes lets hope this one is better...Belphegor was quite a beast at one time but have since become kind of stagnant an a bit of a joke with the last couple albums...i cant remember a damn thing from Walpurgis and Bondage had some good moments but as a whole not so great...not like the epics Lucifer and Goatreich...couldnt figure out if the stagnancy was their fault or Classens cuz they been using him for a while but now getng Peter and Jonas hopefully will prove to be an epic move on their part and Necromance is going to launch them back to the forefront of the genre they perfected so beastly...

You are very optimistic, but I'm sure this new album is gonna be more a continuation of their last two records.

Personally I thought Bondage was fucking killer, but I agree that Walpurgis Rites was a bit forgettable. Fingers crossed for this one!
