Arkan have finished the recordings of their sophomore album, Salam (trans: Peace). The follow-up to 2008's Hilal will be released on April 18th through Season Of Mist.
The French/Algerian/Moroccan melodic death metal band with Middle Eastern influences has revealed that Orphaned Land mainman Kobi Farhi will make a guest appearance on the album.
The album was produced by Fredrik Nordström at Fredman Studio, who made the following comment: "With this album Arkan excel in their art of mixing metal and Arabic music. The result is close to a masterpiece and these guys are its amazing conductors."
"Arabic music brings endless inspiration and with Salam we are only beginning", the band adds.
