Danzig will release a new two-disc greatest-hits compilation, entitled The Essential Danzig, on October 25 through Sony Legacy.

The exact tracklist and cover artwork for the collection have yet to be revealed, though the release is already available for pre-order on Amazon.com.

Sony owns American Recordings. I'll be really surprised if anything other than the first four albums and Thrall end up on this. They didn't release a lot of recordings for American, so a double disk set seems kind of weird to me. Why not just buy the albums? Other than Thrall, they were pretty solid.

No doubt. 2 and 4 are my favorites. A lot of people claim Danzig 1 to be the masterpiece, but the mix is drier than a virgin girl's asshole.
