18:16 - ANGEL REAPER wait ...did MS changed the fonts ?
18:14 - Carrion Misery So you're telling me if there are no clean vocals at all, and the music is 100% PM, you'd tell people, "check out this power metal band"? I'm quite sure you'd be more accurate if you call them "Extreme Power Metal".
18:14 - Marcel Hubregtse as for vocals in doom they can be any sort of vocals, from clean to grunts to screams etc
18:13 - Marcel Hubregtse slowness doesn't really make something doom, it's more the atmosphere and intention than the speed. Else all gothic shit would also be called doom ;-)
18:11 - EMols86 Yeah, isn't a particular style easier to define due to the vocals? Doom is easily recognizable because it's slow, in comparison to most other styles.
18:11 - Syk if all other elements are pm? ...why not?
18:09 - Carrion Misery I can agree that vocals alone don't define a band's genre, but I believe they have a major influence on defining one. I mean power metal with only screams/growls wouldn't be strictly power metal would it?
