New York death metal pioneers Suffocation have begun working on their new album, which they plan to release sometime next year through Nuclear Blast. Currently the band is writing new material for the follow-up to their most recent release, Blood Oath.

Besides the confirmation that they will be playing on the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise, Suffocation will play a handful of exclusive one-off shows. The following dates have been confirmed so far:

12.11.2011 - Richmond, VA @ Kingdom
13.11.2011 - W. Springfield, VA @ Jaxx
20.11.2011 - San Antonio, TX @ Korova
10.12.2011 - Reading, PA @ Reverb

Good news! Bring it on Suffocation, do something like Pierced From Within.

Hoping for something along the line of their self titled album... that album slays.
