"Battlelore played their last foreign show for the time being in Belgium, at Metal Female Voices Festival IX, on Friday October 21st 2011. After that the band is going on an indefinite break from touring and making music.

This is not the end, however, just a time-out to focus on other aspects of life and build up more creative energy for the future. The plan is to play one more show in Finland before the break to thank the Finnish fans for their support over the years. The details of the last show are not confirmed yet but will be announced as soon as the information comes.

There's no drama behind the decision to go on break, just a need to take a step back and have a breather. We want to thank all of our associates and supporters for the help and work over the past nearly 12 years, we've been lucky to have met and worked with such wonderful people! The biggest thanks definitely go to our amazing fans, without whom none of this would've been possible. We are honoured to have met you all and are humbled by your generosity and support! You all have a place in our hearts and we will always cherish the amazing moments we've shared with you on and off stage."

I guess they need a refresher anyway.

If only the break could become permanent.
This band is so mediocre and boring.

Yeh, my initial reaction is "does anybody care?"... sorry guys...

Hopefully they really do come back and don't become too 'refreshed' since Doombound is the best album they've made.

Well, Dismaleuphony cares Battlelor was one of the reasons for him to go to Metal Female Voices Fest again this year instead of Dutch Doom Days.

How many band members does it take to suck?

Beats me. Ask Slipknot fans.

Battlelore was easily one of the best sets of this year's Metal Female Voices, and one of the most memorable sets I've seen in awhile I'm honored to have made it out to see them for this show, and firmly believe in everything I wrote on their Doombound album review, as their passion carried over into their stage presence to the fullest. This was one of the performances I'll remember well into the future

Thats too bad! Really like this band and their last album really impressed me.
Not sure why it hasn't got the notice it deserves. Hers hoping you come back soon to kick ass!
X5452 - 24.10.2011 at 02:30
Bummer, I've always enjoyed their music.
Stabby - 24.10.2011 at 07:01
I like them, they have some catchy tunes. This reminds me to listen to their latest album. Otherwise it's pretty mundane news. BATTLELORE TO TAKE A SHORT BREAK! ALL IS WELL, THEY JUST NEED TO CATCH UP ON THEIR BEAUTY SLEEP. IT'S HARD SINGING ABOUT BATTLES AND ORCS AND STUFF.
AngelofDeth - 24.10.2011 at 07:27
This band was always incredibly boring anyway. they had some creative ideas but just simply are not very talented musicians, i think it mite be best if they stayed away from instruments.
Daggon - 24.10.2011 at 08:43
This band is one of those that can make me fall asleep while listening to their albums, even if I feel totally awake and full of energy. Yup, that means that I just don't give a flying fuck if they are taking some rest, actually I believe they should disband permanently bla bla bla trolling bla bla bla bitching bla bla bla trolling again.
