23:16 - Czerny Reiter I only have III in physical format and have listened to Sentinel and Gnosis. Didn't seem like it would warrant delving much further.
23:13 - 3rdWorld Yeah I agree on it. It is mostly a problem with his latest for me. His early 2 albums were really sweet.
23:08 - Czerny Reiter I appreciate what the guy aims to achieve, but it is way too meandering and the BM parts are not that engaging. Gorgeous ambiences do compensate somewhat, but the heavier sections are often jarring or plain uninspired.
23:01 - 3rdWorld Spectral Lore is awesome bm. Probably my favourite track from them. Highly recommended. [link]
U.D.O.'s November 16th concert at Hristo Botev Hall in Sofia, Bulgaria, was professionally filmed for the band's next official live DVD, due to be released in 2012.
In their official website, the group commented: "The audience was absolutely fantastic and forced us to play for nearly 2 hours and 30 minutes. More than 2,000 fans welcomed back us after 7 years and pushed everybody over his personal limit. Sofia was absolutely great and we will never forget this show."
U.D.O.'s setlist for the show in Sofia:
05. Independence Day
06. Screaming For A Love Bite (Accept cover)
07. Heart Of Gold
09. Princess Of The Dawn (Accept cover)
10. I Give As Good As I Get
11. Guitar Solo
12. Neon Nights (Accept cover)
13. Break The Rules
14. Man And Machine
15. Drum Solo
16. Living On A Frontline
17. Up To The Limit (Accept cover)
18. Two Faced Woman
19. Metal Heart (Accept cover)
20. The Bogeyman
21. I'm A Rebel (Accept cover)
22. Balls To The Wall (Accept cover)
23. Burning (Accept cover)
The same setlist was played last night here in Bucharest. It was an amazing, exhausting show. Out of all the songs performed I think Metal Heart sounded the best, to have 40% of Accept's 80s line-up and Robin Williams himself play that stuff in front of you at that level for 2 hours and 20 minutes is definitely a night worth remembering. Udo's vocals were perfect right to the end when he even let out the epic squeal in the middle of "Burning", and the epic performance props also goes for the rest of the crew. "Screaming for a Love Bite" and "I'm A Rebel" were definitely two of the biggest surprises of the night, and they sounded absolutely metalized and epic.
