3 Inches Of Blood - New Album Details Revealed

Canadian heavy metallers 3 Inches Of Blood will release their 5th studio album entitled Long Live Heavy Metal on March 27th via Century Media Records. For the new album, the band reunited with producer and engineer Terry "Sho" Murray (City Of Fire, Exhibitionists), who worked with the band on their 7" Anthems For The Victorious.

Guitarist Justin Hagberg comments: "Long Live Heavy Metal is the fifth chapter in the book of 3 Inches Of Blood, and we couldn't be more pleased and proud of our new onslaught of honest heavy metal."

Vocalist Cam Pipes stated: "When a band is releasing a new record, they often speak about it being their most important work or best album to date. Regardless of how clichéd either statement may sound, I think we would say both apply to this album. All of us have a special feeling about this one. We're more committed than ever to the cause of real, honest, no bullshit heavy metal. No trends, no fucking around!"

No trends,no fucking around...I sure hope it's true because they dropped the ball big time with their last release

Not only what they say about the album is cliché, the name... Long Live Heavy Metal... Really?

Name is really stupid. Having doubts it will be good, but you never can tell this early.

Then again Rainbow did have an album called "Long Live Rock & Roll" that was pretty damn good

I actually liked their last album, so I think I'll like this one. While I do think the loss of Jamie Hooper sucked for the band, they're still pretty awesome IMO.

Their Latest release was pretty damn good. Had a real raw classic sound to it. Hope the new one is good too.

Meh I dunno, to me their latest felt more like they were trying too hard to recreate that whole Balls to the walls attitude. Didn't felt as genuine as it did with Advance or Battlecry. Fire up was good but only in small doses. So I truly don't know what to expect and if thy were honest in their statement.

I don't have a good feeling about this.

Yeah, I cringed a wee bit when I read that as well.

Looking at things in a positive light though, they've never been all that creative with album titles...
