06:13 - Fearmeister Yea, I never even finished that album and I was a massive Agalloch fanboi
05:45 - Apothecary Marrow Of The Spirit is definitely underrated, not sure why people say Agalloch went downhill with that album. I definitely don't think they ended on a strong note with Serpent & The Sphere though
23:59 - Netzach Czerny, I get your point but I'd say the same about "Ashes"... It just gets too droney and gaze-ish in sections. Limbs and Not Unlike the Waves are awesome though... The Mantle has this "whiskey fueled regret"-feel I adore
23:55 - Netzach Btw, AMA on Reddit with A.A Nemtheanga if anyone's interested [link]
Taiwanese melodic black metallers Chthonic will release a live DVD entitled Final Battle At Sing Ling Temple on February 15th in Taiwan and Japan. It will also be available at the band's webstore for Europe and North America at the end of February. The DVD trailer can be viewed below.
The band played a special outdoor concert in Sing-Ling temple in Puli, Taiwan, on October 22nd, 2011. The Sing-Ling temple is an ancient battlefield and a historical landmark of Puli town. It's not only the most essential scene in Chthonic's latest three albums, a trilogy story, but Chthonic has also written 2 songs that adopt Sing-Ling temple as the titles. One is "Sing-Ling Temple" from the album Mirror Of Retribution, and the other one is "Quell The Souls In Sing Ling Temple" from the new album Takasago Army. The DVD will feature Randy Blythe from Lamb Of God as a guest singer, as well as some other special guests.
