Meshuggah - New Song Online

"Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion", a brand-new song from Swedish technical metallers Meshuggah can now be streamed in the YouTube-video below.

The title is an excerpt from a quote by Albert Schweitzer: "Revenge... Is like a rolling stone, which, when a man hath forced up a hill, will return upon him with a greater violence, and break those bones whose sinews gave it motion."

"Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion" comes off the band's upcoming album Koloss, which is set to be released on March 23rd (EU) and March 26, 2012 (NA) via Nuclear Blast Records. More album details were previously reported here and here.

Not a great song if I'm disappointing honest. Doesn't mean much as a single entity though.

Sounds like a song on The Acacia Strain's Wormwood, but way too long and more boring. Lame.

Haha, that's like saying "compose your own Metal album and upload it here, instead of writing a review of an album".

Well it's Meshuggah...and that's about all you can say about it. Unimpressive on its own, but as has already been noted, Meshuggah aren't really about individual tracks. Still looking forward to the album as a whole!

I liked this, but I hope it's supposed to be one of the more subtle tracks on the album.

Can't wait to hear the new album. Always difficult to judge a song like this, but I don't hate it, which is not a bad place to start.

My thoughts exactly
The song is extremely repetitive, which is what I sometimes expect from Meshuggah, I think it's one of those songs which may sound better/more interesting when you're stoned.....So I'll have to relisten to it next time I'm high, haha. I don't think the album will be that bad though.
