| Nuclear Blast is getting quite infamous because of these. Skyforger by Amorphis had a mastering error previously. |

| Dang, I came here thinking I could get a legitimate free copie of Requiem for the Indifferent. You and your teasing headlines. |

FYI: It's a 108MB download (as it includes a 700 kbps .wav file together with the .mp3 file).
Nuclear Blast needs better servers... I only got around 200 KB/s with my 30Mbps connection, which is pretty pathetic. |

| Promotion curse? You know releasing a song in pieces... |

Quote: the vocals seem to be missing
That's not just a "technical glitch" |

| Epica is so smart and cool. They show us how to make a song piece by piece. First they debuted the drums, then added bass, then some guitar, followed by symphonic shit. After this, the song is complete! Oh, wait a second; why do I have the feeling they forgot something critical to their music... |

Really? What is it? I never heard that and I bought the album the day it was released...
Also, on topic. I am not complaining about this production error. Free song!! |

It was only on the limited edition, that might be the reason why you didn't notice anything. The mellowest section of the title track had a decreased volume level. |

| This is the natural result of "Trackline-by-trackline" release of songs for promotion. seems NB's had a number of outputs so they have confused what is what! Anyway, now everyone who's got the album, has an "alternate version" too. |

| The way the title of this news article is laid out, you'd think the free download would correct the problem somehow. |

|
| Oh well, at least the people have got a rare, albeit fucked-up CD out of this. |

That's what I thought. They'll probably release a new version with the mistake corrected. And all the poor first-day buyers will soon hold a little gem of symphonic metal history in their hands |

Kind of ironic how we value those fucked up CDs, but, honestly, I'd like to have a CD like that too. |

Haha, I hated the song, I thought it was kind of a weird instrumental-with-only-choir track. I'll download it, maybe I like the full song.

People, they just said it so that the first buyers got less upset with the mistake. =.= |

My thoughts exactly. NB brought this on themselves. |

Well! Looking to the name of the track I ask myself: Was this a "Serenade Of Self-Destruction" for someone? |

Its the rarity that makes them valuable. I'm waiting for my order to arrive from amazon so I know whether I need to download this or not. |

|
| I down loaded the updated track. My security software thought it was a virus and wiped it. |

Why would it be? It wasn't even the same song.
And 90% of bands record albums like that. |
