Progressive metal genius Devin Townsend has revealed the cover for his upcoming four-disc DVD box set entitled By A Thread - Live in London 2011, which is set for release on June 18th in Europe and June 19th in North America through InsideOut. The DVD box will contain the unique sold out UK shows of last fall where he performed all four albums Ki, Addicted, Ghost and Deconstruction.

Townsend issued this statement about the new DVD box set: "Live DVD box set news! Yes, that's right, yet another pretty box set will see the light of day soon... You may remember that we've recorded last year's sold out shows in London where the DTP performed each of their albums in full (and then some) and we can now announce that the release has been dubbed By A Thread - Live in London 2011 and will be out June 18th in Europe and June 19th in North America. Four DVD discs will hold the each of the concerts including a shitload of extras and five CD's will have all the audio with a separate CD for just the encores that were played. More details on exact content and where to pre-order this beauty will be announced soon."

Actually this looks very sweet. I'll want to buy it, but four DVDs will probably be expensive!

Yeah, this will probably be expensive as fuck. But hell, it's totally worth it!

I watched some videos from the day they performed Addicted and Anneke was gorgeous I wonder if there were any guests to perform Deconstruction.
I also think that Ghost will sound a lot better live, at least it won't get me to sleep every time.

Damn. Bands really need to start considering doing that more often. It's quite the experience. I'll still buy this set of course.
