In January, it was revealed that legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi had been diagnosed with lymphoma. Now, he has posted the following message on his Facebook page updating on his health condition: "Hiya, a little update on how it's all going: well, I've had the last dose of chemotherapy so hopefully my body will start to get back to normal soon, the steroids were the worse. I've now got three weeks of radiotherapy coming up which I'm told can be very tiring so we'll see."
"A big thanks to Ozzy and Geezer for coming over to England, it was a big incentive for me, we managed to work most days and have some great new tracks. And, importantly thanks again for your kind messages, hope to be seeing you soon. Tony."

For some reason, I get the image of him hooked up to IVs playing the guitar reading this
But of course good luck to him with the radiotherapy, hope it goes well. |

| Tony, we know that what doesn't kill ya makes you come up with revolutionary ways of playing the guitar. I'm sure this will be no different. |

You got that right!
It's great to hear from him. It's hard not to fear the worst with this type of thing, especially after what happened to Ronnie. I was absolutely amazed to hear that he was still writing songs even whilst undergoing chemotherapy... he must truly be an Iron Man. \m/ I wish him a speedy recovery, and hope the new Sabs material will be decimating all our eardrums soon! |
