Updates from the Nominon camp:

"The band will enter a studio in Växjö, Sweden, next week to start the recording of the fifth full-length album, which is yet untitled. It will be released on LP/CD through Deathgasm Records this summer. The plan at the moment is to include nine songs on the CD version and then add one song as bonus on the LP version. Sheer brutality awaits!

We've just received some details about the forthcoming split 7" with Nominon / Kommandant. It'll most likely be out late in April through the new Swedish underground label Cryptorium Records. The label just got the test press and it sounds gruesome as fuck. For this split release Nominon recorded a very intense and kick ass cover of Impaled Nazarene's "Human Proof" from their killer and underestimated album Nihil.

The planned colloboration with the booking agency Blackened Mass Media won't happen after all, simply due to the fact that the agency pretty much were stillborn. So from now on Nominon will go back to basics and manage themselves. So for ALL booking inquires, contact: nominon(a)lycos.com

More info will follow, so be sure to check back if you're a fan underground Death Metal that is."

Would have really liked to see them cover "Wrath of the Goat" instead, but "Human Proof" is still a pretty kickass song. Definitely a lot faster than anything Nominon have put out... so it'll be interesting to see if they slow it down to their standard.

Too bad about the booking agency, but hopefully this split turns out to be something worthwhile. I wouldn't remind reviewing something involving Kommandant, considering how much I enjoyed their latest offering.

*wouldn't mind reviewing

Wouldn't have thought you cared for a band like Nominon, most of the time I always see you going on about black metal so I never thought you cared much for death metal.

I've always had a partial attachment to Nominon. In fact I did the write-up for their release in the 2010 MS Awards. And although nowadays I've been "restricting" myself more or less strictly to black metal, death and funeral doom are two of my other favorite metal genres.

Ah, I see. Fair enough. Well I would be interested in seeing some more Death metal reviews from you then; both the "atta boys" and the "fuck 'em ups" ...
