US stoner metallers Sleep have revealed the cover art for the deluxe reissue of their Dopesmoker album, to be released this year through Southern Lord. The cover art was created by Arik Roper and can be viewed below. More details about this release were previously reported here.

You'd think it would appeal to me but I think... I dunno, maybe it's like, too surreal or something? Like there's no way LOTR and Star Wars can co-exist. It just baffles my mind. For some reason I do like the "extended" version though. :/ Maybe seeing more landscape and not focusing so much on the Ringwraiths helps me digest it better.

How is that not the most awesomest thing ever?! That's exactly why I love this artwork btw =P


I just noticed that you can replace the idea of Ringwraiths with "big Jawas" and in that case it will be a full Star Wars thing instead of SW/LOTR.

Chillax brosefs, it's just a picture of a bunch of futuristic stoners romping through the desert taking hits straight through some high-tech vaporizers.
