Why do bands always "ink" deals? Why not "sign" deals? "Ink" has become another metal jargon term. So sad |

'Sign' after the first verifying handshake, 'Ink' after the paperwork.
Or maybe I'm just making this up. |

| I wonder if this is going to be a precursor to any larger changes in the music... hopefully they will remain doing what they want with their sound / image |

I got a good laugh out of this, thanks.
As for the signing or inking or what not, I honestly could care less what label they're on as long as they continue to keep making great records. I heart me some Moonsorrow. |

| True folk metal bands sign deals in the blood of their enemies. I'm pretty sure that's how it went down. We should say "bleed a deal" from now on. |

"ink" isnt just a metal term... it's pretty worldwide. Or media wide, anyway. You see it all the time with athletes "inking" new deals.
Anyway, this excites me. I'm stoked to hear a new Moonsorrow record [then again I am a bit of a fanboy]. And hopefully this means they'll come back to Colorado at some point in the nearish future! |

Didn't these use to be on Spinefarm?
Whatever you do now Moonsorrow, just because labels can uptight and sometimes make the future albums less original sounding. Please DON'T FUCKING COMPROMISE YOUR NEXT LOT OF OUTPUTS. |

I doubt they will change anything as their 10+ minutes epic songs is pretty much their strenght.
Dunno, but alot people think that going on to a bigger company will turn them into sell-outs as if they were "forced" to make more accesible music. I don't see any empirical evidence of it, unless the band clearly states they want to go into that direction (see Hammerfall, Satyricon, etc...) |
