Not really memorable, it ain't horrible but I fear the whole album is like that and the band moves back to Thornography aber the last two great albums...

Its average as far as modern COF goes. This band isnt 'Filthy' anymore .. Im hoping they prove me wrong with this release, but i doubt it unfortunately

I know I'm supposed to hate this (and anything Cradle of Filth makes for that matter) but I kieend of like it. Musically it isn't too complex and gets a little repetitive, but the keyboard usage to accentuate the song rather than, um..do relatively nothing (as most CoF albums post Damnation do) and the infernal decadent riff kind of reminds me of a mix between Damnation (minus a philharmonic orchestra) and Nymphetamine (which was stripped down Cradle at its best). I think the drums are a lil' uninhabited song writing wise in the greater scheme of things, but I can't really see every song sounding like this, if not just to the fact that it isn't tremelo masturbation, of course the opposite of this being the one "unique" song on the whole album could be true as well. I'm keeping an eye on this one as it seems the closest they've been to unsucky Cradle in a while.

However as is the great metalhead tradition I have to find SOMETHING to rip into CoF for and that would be:

Seriously, who the fuck uses .wav to distribute music nowadays? I can't imagine someone with a slower bandwidth stomaching to download the 42MB file.

Decent track, not what I was expecting to say the least. Hope the full album is better though.

Sounds OK, but I hope the rest of the album is better. Overall, I'm not too excited. Seems like Godspeed is the last great album Cradle will ever have.

Sounds more like symphonic thrash or something to me.

Impressive sound! Finally some heavy shit with less keyboards! Lot of good drumming, awesome guitars and excellent vocals! Perhaps a effort to return to the old school "cradle" metal!?

Well, it wasn't quite going in new direction I guess because it sounds exactly like last EP("Labyrinth"). In either way, if they are close to "Darkly, Darkly Venus" I am damn sure CoF is reinstating their sheer lost glory.

Average music. Boring Song. Just as 'Darkly ...'
Listen Dani's ¿screams? at 3:15 and 4:04: It's shameful. Obviously he can not sing as before...

Cradle used to have a signature style of guitar playing and song structure and it's 99% missing here..
This isn't extreme metal..it barely has any gothic\BM elements..hell, I dunno how to call it. Hope the rest of the album is better.

Hmm I was kind of happy when I read that the new album would be of Midian inspiration, but all I can hear here has nothing to do with the grandiose dark atmosphere of Midian
